What your disability consists of? it affected your social life?
I have nerve damage in my ankles and hips. Walking and standing are painful and I need forearm crutches sometimes. It does make leaving home and going out with friends difficult, so going out with friends is something I never do.

not to your extent but i have nerve damage in my ankles (one from an accident and my other ankle from rolling it). the absolute discomfort is horrible. i dont really notice it most of the time but if i cross my ankles is when it bothers me the most. so certainly more minor then yours, i just wanted to say i understand a percentage that it sucks

I broke my left foot when I was ~12, then broke my right ankle the day after the cast came off my foot. Never received any physio or aftercare, bones didn't heal quite right, and I kept falling and re-breaking both feet and ankles every few years since then.

Worse than the pain is when an ankle or hip just randomly gives out and won't take my weight anymore. No telling when it'll happen, sometimes a few times in a day, sometimes once in a month. Sometimes it lasts for a minute, sometimes I can't put weight on it all day.

I improved my crooked knees. They used to lock when climbing stairs. Worked again after a maniac beat me. Then a car accident soon after. Vitamin c for stronger ligaments, b for nerves. It improved brain damage.

I improved the rwactive hypoglycemia & low thyroid by stopping to be a workaholic anorexic. Mega doses of nutrition helped rebuild my body but it took years.

Officially disabled sonce 20 years but the jerks said it's for mental reasons.

Anxiety, depression, borderline. Fuck you it's normal I was abused!

But now I accidentally put poison everywhere in my hope and it fucked all my body & brain faster than I can heal ... I just don't want to anymore. But it does work...

I'm so sorry that you're made of glass. Vitamin c makes collagen for strong fkexible bones. Bone broth, greens, supplements. You'll become like rubber. I hope.

my first accident was when i got a toothpick in my foot. the xray didnt pick it up so the toothpick ended up travelling through my foot (it went in the bottom of my foot by toes and came out the top of my foot, but not directly through, like 2-3 inches back) and it was pretty infected too. still have scars and probably always will.
my other ankle was kinda my own fault, i was running in shoes slightly too big.
i understand the giving out thing too but for a different reason. i have spondlylolisthesis and lumbar scoliosis. every now and again my back is like "hmmmmmmmm, no" and ill just fall. when my back first started acting up when i was 13, i stayed in bed for almost 24hrs in pain.

because i can still walk and do most things i didnt think id be commenting in this thread, so hi i guess lol

Disabilities span a whole range of issues and severity, though. It's not just people who can't walk or are totally bedridden, y'know?

i know that but where im still "able" i dont/didnt consider myself disabled. of course i know someone on disability for anxiety and considering he streams and im scared of my own shadow its agreed mines kinda worse so...yeah i guess considering i have a few problems i would call emotionally/mentally crippling

I know exactly what you mean about the discomfort being disruptive. It drives you insane. I really feel for you, OP.

I have autism, chronic fatigue, degenerative discs with tears, IBS, and issues with nerve pain/nervous system dysfunction. Honestly, the lingering everyday discomforts from these disabilities is often worse than the acute pain. At least I can take painkillers for those symptoms and dull them a bit, the other issues are permanent.

Everyday for the past 5-6 years, my legs have had a constant sense of discomfort (similar to a burning/numb sensation) and the circulation in them is extremely poor. Even going to sit on the toilet makes my feet and ankles turn purple. I can lay under a heavy blanket for an hour and my lower half will still be cold.

After awhile of being disabled, I find that it becomes scary to go outside and do things, because you can't always predict when your issues will flare up. The brainfog, numb legs, slurred vision, sense of heaviness and tiredness, I know those things are permanent, but I can't predict when I will get really bad pain and need to lay down.

Right now I can't sleep because my legs are so uncomfortable, just from trying to sit at a bloody desk. Shout out to all my fellow disabled homies on SS, I wish one day we could all be free of this pain.
