Maybe we should blame the industrial age which allowed the defective genes to propagate? We wouldn't have even been born in the first place otherwise.

Also curious about the sex ratio, as autistic males can't get sex, and no sex means no chemicals that make you want to be alive.

I finally got "diagnosed" in 2023, but it was a Ukrainian clinic, and I'm not sure if Russian medicine is considered legitimate in America.

I never had trouble talking to teachers, but I never talked to any peers in all my life, literally none.

Also, this is gonna sound like disgusting, but, porn is like the source of dopamine I can get, and If that's like taken away, what's the f-ing point? I heard that antidepressants cause sexual disfunction, and also, can cause PERMANENT disfunction.
Stories such as this only entrench me in my suspicion of American drugs. I'd like drugs, but that make me happy (the illegal Colombian ones), I would never take drugs that make me feel worse wtf

Btw, pornography is legit the reason I didn't kill myself a few times, especially with one Instagram model who was throwing sex toys with her heel, it's sufficiently funny, hot and absurd.

Does anyone know if autism symptoms get worse when you get older ? Since I know I'm neurodivergent, I feel that my brain has accepted it (or not) and things are getting worse.

i thought i was diagnosed with it for a long time, but its just because i was at the neurologist a lot as a child and prescribed medication. i know i was tested for it. i guess i was just kind of filling in the gaps with what i knew. my parents always hid my diagnoses from me. i only at 20 years old found out that i actually have adhd diagnosed.

I was always diferent from other people. I was never able to fit in anywhere. Never had a true friend, only had one loveless relationship with a cruel sadistic girlfriend. Never was able to keep a job for a long time. Few years ago i was finally diagnosed with Asperger's.

For me sadly the autism symptoms have gotten worse.

Can I just say as a psa, thinking you have autism versus being diagnosed is SO different. I understand if you think you may have it, but if you've been to a professional and done a screening and you didn't get diagnosed, you likely do not have autism.
It's not something that you should want , and it is difficult living with it.

No I do not believe I have autism despite multiple people claiming on multiple occassions that I do.
Now that I hear voices and had psychotic episodes people say I'm schizophrenic (I do not believe in psychiatry)

Got diagnosed with Asperger's as a kiddo 🥲 I don't use that term for obvious reasons. I'm LSN Autistic

Hey, so this is blatantly untrue. There is a massive epidemic of psychs misdiagnosing racialized people and AFABs. I was lucky to even get dxed with Asperger's as an AFAB.

There are so many damn reasons someone might experience psychosis aside from schizophrenia 🙄 I hate how people armchair diagnose

Thanks. I voted "No." An outside viewer might say I display autistic traits under certain circumstances, but I do not believe I am diagnosably autistic. I suspect those traits are better explained by some other framework. Not going to say it's impossible I'm on the spectrum though.

I thought I was. Got a diagnosis as an adult only to learn it wasn't from a "reputable enough" office, so I guess I'm just a socially inept failure while my brother, diagnosed as a child, gets everything handed to him.

Yes, I was diagnosed when I was a little girl. I won't live to be 40. I just project myself into the future and I don't see myself alive at that point. I had to deal with bad people in my childhood (who didn't understand me and almost all of them were adults), but well, that's how things are and God wanted it to be this way

I was diagnosed with ADD (ADHD predominantly inattentive ) as a child, so I'm definitely neurodivergent.
I think it was either a misdiagnosis or I have both, ADD and autism. Just re-did the ADHD diagnosis again recently as my childhood diagnosis doesn't exist anymore. Not sure if I can get an autism diagnosis as the waiting lists are very long and I can't pay myself.
Personally I am 100% convinced I am on the spectrum even without a diagnosis. I experience echolalia, I do all the repetitive actions stuff, I struggle to communicate and speak at times, I experience sensory overload very frequently, I can't read social norms/faces, I'm alexithymic, my executive dysfunction is very bad, I feel very lonely because I'm misunderstood almost always and can't make/keep friends; I could go on and on. I'm also "peer reviewed" by three other autistic people. One of them said my autism is "very bad actually" .
Due to it being a spectrum traits seem to differ in intensity and variety. Some traits are definitely very bad for me. I'm highly verbal and probably have an average IQ so I somehow adapted and masked well enough, having been bullied for weird stims certainly didn't help either.
It's a lonely, alien, strange experience. It affects your perception in ways that make reality an existential horror simulator. The slightest change in what you're used to can make you freak out, you're dominated by fear from all kinds of sources, you can't properly orient yourself in time and space, you feel burnt out quickly or most of the time and you never know what comes next. At least that's my experience but I know many A(u)DHDers experience it similarly.
Life feels very intense, and way too big. You feel like a child or an animal basically. Very small, like everything is too much and tiring.
I'm hyperfixated with describing my perception and experiences recently. In order to communicate what it means to be in such a strange body. There should be more research on it.
