I don't have any idea of what my Great-Grandparents were like. I don't remember any of my Grandparents' names. I feel that none of the people who know me will ever mention me to others besides being like "my friend/family member killed himself." Makes me feel all the more worthless. Does being forgotten forever bother you?

No not at all. I actually want to be forgotten. I wish I could wipe out my memory from people's minds. I only done cringe things and most of my interactions with people are things I am embarrassed of. But that wont be necessary. People will forget about the dead quick enough. Everyone gets forgotten at some point and if they dont, i dont see how that really impact the dead anyhow.

Those are all really good points. I hate 90% of my memories of interacting with other people, hopefully they're all forgotten interactions. But I wish my life wasn't so garbage that I had something to be remembered by, like being famous or rich or really smart or anything.

No, everyone is forgotten eventually, even the elites. I think this is one of the things I hate most about life, it's pointless, all the suffering we go through, all the interactions we have, they all mean nothing in the end.

No, I have a small family and I am the last male. My surname dies with me. But either way I am not real attached to earthly things. I don't care about "living on" in some way, as others have said, that's largely a naïve mindset anyway.

More than anything I want no one to remember me. I wish I could erase my whole existence and just disappear. The thought of this existence being gone is such a comforting thought. Some day there will be no pain. I do not care how others react after my death, it means nothing to me as I will not be there to see it.

This is how it is when you die, ctb or not. At some point after your passing someone will think of you for the very last time, and from that point it's as if you were never even here.

Everyone is forgotten eventually. It doesn't really matter the way you die. It is a fact everyone will die and be forgotten, because humans are too insignificant in the end. So no. I actually very much wish to be forgotten; if it was possible to wipe my existence off everyone's mind's before I CTB, I would. I don't want to ruin anyone's life, which I know for sure will happen when I do CTB (not to be narcissistic, it has nothing to do with that).

For an unknown reason, I long to be remembered and have a sense of importance and impact on the lives of those who beat me. So many savages have raped my soul and assaulted me until I bled. I want them to feel the effect of my pain and at least try to understand others.

However, I am (at least somewhat) rational. I know how events will unfold. Everyone will be sad for a day, maybe two if they knew me a bit better, but after that, I'll be nothing more than a distant memory fallen into the realm of irrelevancy. All will move on about their regular day-to-day routines. This is to be everyone's fate at some point. The less remarkable one is, the less time it takes for them to become obscure.

And that's how it shall be. I accept the prophecy even if it defies my personal wishes.

I do not mind. Everyone will be forgotten one day, life itself is meaningless and nothing we do will last or be remembered forever. If I'm remembered positively by the people I cared about it would be enough, although I don't care about that either.
