Hello. I've been taking 20 mgs of Fluoxetine and 1 mg of trifluoperazine everyday for a while now and recently the dosages have been increased.
However, I've been finding myself unable to do pretty much anything lately. I mean, I cannot even leave bed to play video games, I seriously lack the motivation and the will to do anything.
I've also been having panic attacks time to time so that's also not completely cured.

Any advice anyone? Should I stop taking these pills? Thank you in advance.

It depends, lots of meds has nasty side effects....such as weight gain. I also drool when I sleep. But I can live with these things. Also, your condition sounds like anhedonia, nothing brings pleasure or joy.

Please consult your medication side-effects with a professional.
If you have doubts about the doctor who has perscribed these to you, try to consult other qualified person.

Anhedonia sounds about right. These things normally would bring me some form of amusement. None anymore. I hope it's not permanent.

I have doubts about most professionals at this point. My depression has turned chronic, untreated for many years now.

The meds aren't meant to cure anything. Drs can't make a living if people don't keep coming back forever.

That's such a naive conspiracy theory.

Cures are very attractive, and very profitable.
If you found a universal cure for depression, you'd kill all competition, and you'd become insanely rich.

If a cure was ever found it'd be buried they are nowhere near as profitable.

Well it's a shame I cannot get any clear answers, neither from professionals or from this forum. My current psychiatrists honestly doesn't know what to do anymore, said I probably should have stayed in the psych ward for more than 5 days, but I told her they didn't even do anything there. All they did was give me meds at certain hours and take away my mobile phone, so what's the point.

Bloody hell...

I tried 5 meds (antidepressants) and had nasty effects for all of them... but 6th was the one.

If it doesn't go after 2 weeks from the increase I think there can be something wrong with meds (in your case of course)

I would say contact the doctor or try decreasing dosages to previous mg... is what I would do but contact the doctor if you hqve money for that
I also wanted to say that I myself had really weird reaction to antipsychotic med (also anti anxiety
I was stopping breating. My doctor said it's inmposiible but weel here were I olny having these problems after taking that med and problem was more severe with dosage increased.
Do yeah, weird reactions to meds are possible
And fluoxitine can indeed cause pannic attacks so I would say go to the previous dosage with it or change it for something else
Well fluoxitine can also cause what ypu described but it's rare. If it isn't gone after a few weeks I think it will not go and previous dosage or diffrent meds

I started prozac in Jan At 20mg. I'm up to 60mg rn. My depression symptoms got considerably worst and the fatigue was unreal, I was also binging/purging so they added Vyvanse.

Though it's (prozac) calmed my anxiety symptoms a touch, I'm having a daily debate if I should continue.

This is the second psychiatrist to try to add abilify, which just makes me non functionally sick for some reason whenever I try it. No thank you. Plus I'm not trying to blow up in weight and I damn sure can't risk being more compulsive rn.

All the therapists/specialized therapies have been useless. I just stopped going as of a couple weeks ago, after telling my therapist I'm on a second month straight of kinda a drug/sex bender and her copying my neuropsych eval results . (c/PTSD with depression, anxiety+panic, OCD, combo ADHD, restrict type anorexia).she was talking about inpatient. Another no thank you.

I genuinely don't think prozac....or any of it is actually working. Sucks.
