I've tried partial any many times, when do you know when you're about to pass out? From people who've tried and managed to black out, what were the tell signs before it went dark?
When I try it, most of the time I see black static covering most of my vision. I've never had convulsions though. I've only passed out once but I could NEVER tell that I was going to faint.
I tried a few times in the past since it was still my method of choice some years ago. I remember that as soon as I was starting to lose consciousness all the muscles would let go at the same time and my legs wouldn't be able to support me anymore. At that moment only I'd let go of the rope.
Even after 5/10 mn my whole body was still shaking all over.

Convulsions are actually seizure activity, in this case caused by cerebral hypoxia, or oxygen deprivation of the brain. A seizure is an indication that, despite adequate blood circulation, your brain has endured a period of moderate to severe oxygen deprivation.
Long story short, you're using what must be a very effective form of partial... definitely not something to play around with unless you're sure.
