I know the beta blockers are for if the heart rate is tpo fast but what does one take if it's too slow? A slow heart rate sounds pretty bad to me. Any ideas about how to combat this? Thanks.

I dont see why you'd need to take anything for that.

I think its normal for the heart to beat too slowly or too fast in the process of dying. I can' t expect that the bodily funktions to work like a new engine beyond death.

Sorry. I didn't meant it badly :halo:

I know it's normal but I don't want to feel it and wondered whether there was a medication that prevents people from feeling it x

Slow heart rate? How SN works is that your heart rate will beat fast but once you've passed out/unconscious your heart rate will go right down.

Source of your info will be great.

In all honesty, are you sure you want to CTB?

Nitrogen does the same thing--In my 4 tests(3 with exit bag, 1 with EEBD hood), the pulse shoots up after just a few deep breaths while oxygen number plummets

I don't want to live anymore but equally I don't want to be in misery when I die. I don't know if I can go through with it tbh with you which makes me very sad. It's listed under side effects on a number of sites so I thought Id ask. Type sodium nitrite and bradycardia and a number of sites list it. Don't know how reputable they are, but it was enough for me to worry that I should be doing something about it.x

I don't get this, either. If you're taking SN to ctb, why do you want to take something to adjust your heart rate back to a normal rate? To me, this seems nearly akin to someone who is injecting themselves with a lethal amount of heroin immediately reaching for the Narcan at the same time. If you're CTB-ing, what does it matter? Just go with it. Maybe that's just me, though.

I wonder if this is maybe because it's a cyanide antidote while we would be taking more causing the opposite effect.

I get panicky when my heart beats fast, but that's just me and my life long severe constant anxiety. Maybe OP has something similar.

But if you're already under the effects of the SN, and the SN is what is causing the Bradycardia, and death is imminent, I don't understand why it matters? I guess maybe if one was hoping for a super peaceful exit, and the Bradycardia hinders that from happening? I'm not convinced that SN is the peaceful exit everyone makes it out to be. That's another topic, though. Still, it would only be a short time of tolerating the Bradycardia, assuming the (SN) user did everything right. I might be missing something in all of this. Wouldn't be the first time.

I guess OP just wishes for the least possible discomfort and an exit without worrying and fear, I think we all do.

I get that. I do. But, maybe SN isn't the best method for the OP. There are other options. You know what this discussion reminds me of a little? The Western medicine mindset that pills are always the answer, that when being treated for some ailment with medication, for which the medication causes some undesired side effect, as all medications do, that then another medication is needed to combat the undesired side effects, which, in turn, leads to still another medication to quell that medication's side effects, so on and so forth.

For bradycardia? An adrenaline shot. But that will just make you...well...full of adrenaline which is probably not something you want. What do you find scary about bradycardia, if I may ask?

Thanks. But, it's not quite the same, I'll admit, as Western Medicine's reasons are rooted in preserving life, and, well, what we are discussing here in this thread is completely the opposite of that.

After thinking about the OP's question some more, and about the comments from a couple others who have chimed in, I guess I can understand the OP's concern and the peace of mind they would like to have from knowing they wouldn't needlessly have to suffer, if they were able to lessen one of the unwanted side effects from the SN.

would running on the spot or something of that nature sped up the death process? I know that eventually you'd be unable to from feeling nauseous and stuff like that and i know it won't be a painless death either way. i just want to know if its worth exercising after taking the SN to sped it up.

also sorry if i missed something in this thread i know its a bit old.

The best remedy for fear of bradycardia is experiencing the tachycardia. I don't think you ever have.... the lower your heartrate, the better. After all, that is what we are aiming here, aren't we?
