  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I can't speak from experience but I imagine the consequences would be severe. I live in an area where there are a lot of bridges that you could pick from. I don't ever remember anyone surviving their jumps though.

I jumped out of my attic window (I live in an absurdly tall house). I didn't have access to anywhere higher & was desperate, and was also placed on a newly prescribed psychiatric med that I was severely allergic to at the time.
Needless to say, I'm now a permanently disabled pseudo-cripple whose body is actively rejecting the foreign metal implant they placed inside of me.

I don't recommend going that route. The complications of failure are too great.

How did you land exactly?

How did you land exactly?
Straight downward, but with both of my legs tucked underneath my body as though I were kneeling. Still broke my back and my hip though.

No but i saw this YouTube video a long time ago about a man who survived jumping off of a bridge and regretted it.

One of my favorite Youtubers committed suicide by jumping off of a bridge in New York but his autopsy said that he died from drowning.

It's very sad. He was so charismatic.
His final video gave me chills too, about how he said he was sorry that he kept pushing everyone away, didn't get help and it was too late now.
He took the words right out of my mouth. When I watched that video I felt an impending sense of doom as I realised I was in the same boat and couldn't back out now even if I wanted to...

The same for me. I didn't get help when my mental state started deteriorating... Now it is too late, suicide thoughts invaded my mind 24/7

I watched his final video when he uploaded it and I remember feeling terrified for him until I realized that the worst had happened. I was pretty sad because I loved him and I wanted him to get better

When I watched it again a month or so ago because of my urge to ctb, it resonated with me too. I think that's when I truly understood what he had been through.

It's like you hit a tipping point where the thoughts gain a "mind of their own". Then suicidal depression becomes a revolving door that increases in intensity with time until it kills you. Not unlike a cancer or other proliferating disease- if it isn't addressed early it worsens until it reaches a critical level from which return is impossible or near-impossible.
