yeah! :D Early 2000s punk was awesome! ^_^ I'm kinda generic (if you can still be this many years afterwards! xD), but I like Good Charlotte, Relient K, and Hawk Nelson the most! :D

Yes, it's a beautiful piece of music.
" Somebody up there likes you " by simple minds is another good chill out tune from the 80s.

I saw them live last year when they came to the US! They're amazing.

I have too many favorite punk bands these days, but Amyl and The Sniffers, Viagra Boys, Idles, Midori, and Jay Reatard are some of my favorites.

Never got into Simple Minds to be honest but can appreciate them for sure. Although too young to have seen JD etc I love the early 80's post-punk stuff. Check out a band called The Chameleons from that era. Their first three albums are amazing and they should have been HUGE!

Yeah, great band to be sure. They came from an area not all that far from where I grew up in Manchester. They probably played at the Hacienda nightclub long before it was turned into flats. 😢.

I only like the first album. They became too mainstream afterwards.

I think I listen to punk but I'm not sure as I don't know enough to tell if it really is.

Favorite bands are Dystopian, Bad Brains, and Dead Kennedys.

Respect for knowing the Chameleons. 👌 From Middleton if I remember rightly there were.

Did you mean to write Dystopia? The crust punk band from Orange County?

Yes, Middleton. I grew up in Salford. I didn't know them personally, yet I remember a lot of post-punk bands who used to play at the Hacienda in Manchester City centre in the mid eighties.
Saw Bauhaus, siouxsie and the banshees, death cult, killing joke , the clash, the damned and loads more at Manchester appolo as well.
As you can tell, I'm an old bastard in his fifties now.

Well, they probably no longer classify as punk, but Green Day remains favorite. And I guess Ice Nine Kills jumps too far into the metal genre.

Green Day - Having a Blast, Basket Case, Static Age.

I'll have to listen to the songs you posted at the beginning of the thread and give you my reaction.
