Live on Long Island, and wondering if anyone knows any good jumping spots in the state, or even the surrounding few states. The closer the better, but I don't mind making a bit of a drive if I have to. Thank you guys.

I appreciate the help. Yeah I've looked into the gwb but it seems shot these days. Netting, cameras, police task force specifically to stop people from jumping. Can't blame them, the numbers of jumps/attempts from there are mind blowing. I'll look into the cliffs though, thank you.

If you live in Long Island, why not just do it with a shotgun? You do not need a permit to buy a shotgun if you live in long island. According to lostallhope : Shotgun to the head is 99% lethal while jump from height is only 94% lethal. Also According to my research the main thing is aiming, I would do in my mouth and I will be careful to keep my gun steady so I do not flinch while pulling the trigger. I was reading on quora from a former paramedic, he treated a guy who attempted suicide but the shotgun was too long and he shifted the muzzle of the gun to the cheek before pulling the trigger and ended up surviving. I was thinking of combining two methods: shotgun to head while jumping from height or shotgun to mouth while falling into water so at least i would drown. IDK what im going to do for sure though, i want to make sure that I die before anyone tries to save me

Yeah just from looking at pics that seems to be the main concern lmao.

wait I need to look into this further myself when I have time but seriously? You can really just waltz into a gun store on LI and buy a shotgun right then and there? Not trying to be rude but that sounds way too good to be true

im not sure, but that is what i read online https://nytacdefense.com/resources/...ext=First the good news!,a rifle or a shotgun.

it says "First the good news! If you are a New York State resident and do not live in the City of New York you do not need any paperwork, license, permit or permission slip to go to a local sporting goods shop or local gun store and purchase a rifle or a shotgun."

I could be wrong though. If im wrong please let me know.

they put up a barrier only on the pedestrian side. The other side which they closed off for pedestrians does not have any barrier.

I'm seeing a lot of conflicting things online, but it seems my county at minimum requires a license. Don't think I'll be going this route, although I think a handgun would be one of my preferred methods if I did have access. But I really appreciate the help, thank you

uh why not? isnt that what this site is all about?
i think it's more complex than that. i don't want to promote a thing like that. i don't think this site is just about that. regret saying a thing (as usual). should have gotten to know you better before giving you any advice. but i guess i didn't.

Oddly enough I love NY, I despise Long Island lol
Just to add information you can buy a shotgun in Long Island without a license. You need a license only for a pistol. You can walk into a store and fill out some paperwork and buy a shotgun.
