Or really any way that doesn't leave a trail. I want to order N but I am extremely paranoid. I was talking to someone who said that you can open a PO box under your real name and it will be fine. So that should be okay. This is all in Canada by the way so if anyone has any useful info let me and everyone else know. Thank you.

Buy the bitcoins in cash or mix them with two different addresses.

... and use the Electrum-Wallet through Tor.

You could launder the bitcoins via bitcoin casinos (deposit, play a bit then withdrawal) on sites like freebitco.in and the coins will have no links to the coins you buy with your real name.
Or convert to other coins back and forth (eg monero)

I know I should be using Tor already but I have no idea how.

Yeah.. might be harder than what I was expecting.

Download Tor here and install. Its like installing Firefox :-)

If you are not so familiar with the technique, mixing may not be a good idea. Then you can only pay cash to remain anonymous.

Bitcoins are not anonymous, you have to make them anonymous.

Could we PM and talk? It would be much easier than to clog a thread imo.

Laundering bitcoin isn't that hard at all.

Buy from localbitcoins, send to a casino ( eg freebitco.in), wager and play a bit, withdraw all Coins to another address. Voila all your bitcoins are now disconnected from your identify.

I don't even know how to get a wallet. Do you think I am paranoid for this?

Yah you're way too paranoia.

A is likely to launder his coins and or use multiple addresses so cops will have had time linking your coins even to him.

That means even if your don't launder A will very likely launder those coins and address and cops won't find it. You can tell if A use new address by looking at Blockchain.info if the address he requested your coins to be sent to has been used. It's very likely he'll give you a new unused address (so he can identify each buyer payment separately easily)

Yes bitcoin is not anonymous but it is way too hard for cops to crack down and identify users that unless you're silkroad or alphabay (big dark net operator), it's generally don't with their effort tracking the coins users.

Easiest way to get a free and secure wallet is blockchain.info

You think I should use a proxy for all this? I was thinking of signing up under an email I will use to contact with A. Sorry if I seem dumb. I just never touched crypto before.

Don't think it's necessary to use proxy, you're complicating things too much.
Just use an encrypted mail like protonmail (just like A) will do.

Blockchain.info will auto relay the coin broadcasting so using proxy is really irrelevant.

You're way too paranoia IMO.

No agency is going to track coins for just one freaking single transaction over the whole internet.

You overimagined the magnitude of the surveillance.

Exactly. Authorities have better things to do imo, and I just got a bitcoin app on my phone, and used my credit card to buy BTC. The OP should do the same and stop being so paranoid.

Say I bought Bitcoin through an app on my phone, could I use this to mix my coins up?
you could but the only problem is the minimum amount of btc required to tumble the coins is high side with this wallet (0.1 btc i believe).
i'm looking into finding a new tumbler program tho; if i see a good one; i'll post here. sadly the one i used (bitblender) is now offline...

Oh ok thanks. I currently have .109 BTC, but I think I just might end up sending the coins to A through the app on my phone. He has already sent me his bitcoin address. I'm kind of on the fence, cause of some paranoia on this forum! lol
