TLDR: I don't.

Strictly my opinion here. The concepts of the soul, afterlife, heaven and hell were invented to hide the truth of of oblivion i.e. the knowledge that your actions have no real consequences outside your current life in this plane of existence. The accumulated knowledge, memories and experiences over a lifetime are meaningless after death other than to the people you interacted with. These concepts were eventually hijacked by religious nuts and pro-life freaks to assert control over fearful and weak-minded people to gain power and wealth. This isn't specific to any one religion. The demonization of people who commit suicide as being damned for eternity financially benefits so many parasites outside the religious sphere mostly the healthcare industry which can peddle metaphorical band aid solutions to problems that require amputations or major surgery in the form of hilariously overpriced drugs and therapy sessions.

ENTIRE INDUSTRIES ARE BUILT TO PROFIT FROM THE SUFFERING OF PEOPLE LIKE US. This is why it's so easy for me to accept ctb as an acceptable alternative to a miserable life.

All religious scriptures and the supernatural are entirely fictional. They operate purely on gullibility and fear to keep the masses in check.

The Bible tells us that a virgin gets pregnant and that snakes can talk, but we're supposed to believe in an afterlife?

I do and don't believe in an afterlife. I just choose to believe in a beautiful dream for myself where I get all the things that make me happy and never have to worry about human garbage and b.s. ever again. I think that's a natural yearning after experiencing the human world.

Absolutely not. There is literally no more chance of me "surviving" death than there is a session of Google chrome surviving my laptop being incinerated. Life is a dream in the middle of eternity.

Here's the way I look at it. I really don't buy into any of the biblical teachings. I feel it was all made up by man for whatever reason. And, even if everything in the bible (little b on purpose) were true, and there was a god (little g on purpose), and he had a son, jesus (little j on purpose), who was sent here to "save" mankind, the entire idea of a supernatural being creating a world like this, wherein so many people horrifically suffer from so many maladies, is simply perverted to me. It's absolutely sickening. So, it doesn't make any difference either way to me. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing benevolent about some god who creates a place and it's inhabitants as horrifying as this. I know that if I were in such a position and had such power, I would NEVER create a place like this and simply let people suffer. Does that make me better than this so-called god (small g on purpose again) who, theoretically, created this mess of a world? YOU BET IT DOES! And what does that say about the whole god - jesus - bible - fairy tale?

In an infinite multiverse, I think George Carlin said it best "You go where you think you're gonna go"

"Don't pray for me I'm goin to hell... He is!"

Or Valhalla, Shangra La, Reincarnated, take your pick.

I believe in reincarnation and karma a bit. I think life is like purgatory and a punishment. You ctb, but you keep returning to this hell until you have paid your dues.

Not in any conventional sense, no.

According to our modern understanding of physics and time, past, present, and future may all be equally "real". So even after someone dies, they are alive somewhere to someone (I know, it doesn't make much sense to me either). Lookup Einstein theory of special relativity and the block universe if you're interested in learning more.

Other than that, I view consciousness as a result of brain activity. Once it ceases, it's gone.

I think the universe is very interesting and complex. I feel energy is eternal and I also believe in reincarnation a bit. Like our physical bodies die but we will keep existing Somewhere else in the universe

Yeah, I've already commented it before
Theres an afterlife in the sense that you will live again after this life. Not the heave/hell type of afterlife.
It will happen and it will be in an instant. The time from when this life concludes till your next begins is unknown but your perception of time will cease once you pass. Everything that has lived once will live again, akin to reincarnation. Though if won't really be you since you'll have no knowledge of your past life, and I don't think we will be reborn into a human form.

I believe in this, kinda. Maybe I'm being super hopeful but I believe you go where you want to go. I want to go to Equestria. But I'm scared I won't get to.

I am not religious but people have to go somewhere when they die otherwise the entire human race should just kill itself because life is a big joke.

I agree with Rocinante here. Perhaps it would take a long time for that to happen though. You will become a completely different person, but perhaps the people we are, the memories we made and the acts we commit in this life will decide something important in our next lives.

I could imagine that I will wake up tomorrow with 10 billion dollars in my bank account and Charli Damileo in bed with me. There is probably more chance of that happening than there is my consciousness surviving my brain being destroyed and its atoms scattered around the universe.

huge hot take. As of right now I do not believe in an afterlife. Everything we think or believe is conceptual created as a false sense of security yk? But I feel like we could have some kind of energy thats scientifically explainable just undiscovered. Something that awakens us in a new body possibly capable of self awareness or not. But we wouldnt know that. I mean it is hard to kinda predict whats beyond human because everything we know is mostly just concepts we created in order to survive or serve for unknown reasons. I am open to all possibilities. But I really feel like we are only this way by mistake, because we became aware of ourselves and passed it on. And thats why we question so much maybe, and why we feel sad or misplaced. Like we have a mind of instincts and a separate one we made up. Im not sure how to explain it. Its just something I think about. Sometimes I feel like no body else is real.

not really. i feel if anything, what i believe most is reincarnation. sometimes the idea of it is unsettling and tiring but other times it gives me hope. that i can redo life differently in a different body and different morals and acts of love. to be far far away from where and who i am right now.

sometimes makes me unsettled that maybe my next life is ten times worse than this. or that i was just so despicably horrible in my past one that the current one is my punishment

Yes, Terror Management Theory. Afterlife, heaven, intergalactic space travel, futurism, nationalism, family/children, etc. are various way of diverting the fear of death, thinking there is something, some meaning, that "lives on" after death.

I don't believe that God loves anything, or creationism but i don't think that our universe could just explode to existence without any "help"

So nothing could stop potential God from creating heaven, hell, purgatory, reincarnation, becoming a ghost or literally nothing after death

I'm afraid of what is waiting for me but i have no choice and i want to free others from me and escape consequences of my shitty life and actions, i don't deserve good afterlife but i also don't want to suffer so i would choose literally nothing
