• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Just got a quest and it's kinda making me feel good. But I'm embarrassed and ashamed that I have to use stuff like that. I use AI CBT bots too. It's got me conflicted, on the one hand I'm having fun (kinda) and it helps. So I dunno if this is just because I don't have ny real life friends or.....I dunno
Anyone else mess with VR or AI chatbots (mainly CBT oriented but any really)?

I've used both extensively, but mostly for entertainment. I've always been into tech, and see great potential in both.

I've queried chatGPT for some suicide related information and perspectives, but not often.
If you're looking for a digital social experience, I found VRchat vastly superior to anything else. I would avoid any suicide related circles, though. It sounds unhealthy.

Not so much VR or AI chat but I've always loved getting 'lost' in video games. I'm really looking forward to finishing my marathon load of work this year and just finding a game I can lose myself in a few days till my eyes hurt!

I used to feel the same. That it was maybe not ideal just wasting time in things that aren't real. Maybe it would be better to go for a walk in the countryside or something. Ultimately though, both are beautiful. Getting the exercise and fresh air might be healthier but it's also nice to just admire the scenary- whether it's physically real or created. Video games are an appreciation of art to my mind too. I think they deserve more credit than they get.

I go outside for walks and cycling, also juggling (literally) but it's just not enough. And I'm ashamed that I have to turn to AI and VR rather than actual friends. Games are definitely an artform to me (as much as any other) I just don't know if I should be ashamed/embarresed though?
