Anyone have fantasies of using the Sarcro device next year?

So the latest on the Sacro suicide pod is that it's cleared legal review in Switzerland, paving the way of its use in 2022. From what I understand, the whole point of the device is to remove any doctors from the approval process, so say even people with mental illness can opt for it.

Anyone have hopes/ fantasies that they may actually be able to use the Sarcro for a peaceful ctb as early as next year?

In most cases it's unrealistic so I don't waste my time fantasising about things like that.. I could never afford it nor get approved for it. I understand fantasising is a coping mechanism for some people though.

Yes. I've emailed one of the Swiss organisations before. So I just sent them another email asking if they are going to have a Sarco.

One thing about this device is that it is going to be expensive, clearly- I hope they have some kind of a plan to reacquire and resell them once they are used successfully. Also, like any machine, a certain small percent will fail, and if used ones get on the market eventually some of these will fail too. Evwen if I could afford it I personally wouldn't wait that long, but it's potentailly good news for the long term. Like anything, though, it will be abused- if these do become available in some cases they will be used for murders, some people willl abuse anything. For example organized crime could drug someone to get them to pass out and put them in here. It's good news they have progress, but this will get complicated.

I think some existing suicide clinics in Switzerland could offer a machine if they want to.

The plan would be to cut out the medical profession. People would be assessed online by AI.

You got close at one point, lol. I have been two-way ignored by at least one person, but have yet to do it myself. Feels like I should be able to handle people being unnuanced/stupid/incorrect without relying on getting rid of them.

That pod reminds me of the coffins on Star Trek where to put you in it and fire you off into space when you die. The biggest potential game changer for me is that it supposedly, under Swiss laws, the pod would be accessible to anyone with a sound mind that wishes to ctb. No more doctors and tons of paperwork and the requirement that you are terminally ill.
