I would have rather been born in a much more quiet and isolated society like neolithic tribes were, 6000 years ago. I have always had a fascination with cavemen and anthropology since I was a kid. I realized that we live a very unnatural life compared to thousands of years ago before civilization.

Civilization fucked us up.

I think the recent advancements in technology are too overwhelming for the human brain to handle therefore we suffer more than people did decades ago.

Not so much wrong century for me, but rather wrong decade. I feel like I am an old soul, if you will, and should have been born in the 1920s, maybe early 1930s, and then would have grown up in the 1950s, which, I feel, was a much more innocent time with much less complication. Not that there weren't problems then, too. But, not like now.

I think you're right. I was definitely much happier in the 70s and 80s

We are poisoned on a daily basis in the 21st century.

Phthalates, dioxins, xenoestrogens and fluoride in the water and food supply.

This alone causes me existential dread 24/7

Not necessarily. For me it's like, the world where I fit in would be radically different from this one. How exactly I'm not too sure, which makes thinking about that in terms of time period kind of hard, maybe even impossible.

Not really born in the wrong century but born too late in the century, I would prefer to be born around late 70s/early 80s, though up to a decade earlier wouldn't be too bad either. Just to grow up in the 80s and 90s and live through seeing great music and entertainment and still with some technology that's still fun before the world went to shit.

Being born just 5 years earlier I think could have made a big difference. Even more so 10 or 15. What's important is for porn and videogames to be shittier/inaccessible at around age 12-18, so that I'd have to socialize for entertainment and would need a real relationship for sex.

I was definitely born in the wrong decade. 2000s were still fun. 2010s is when it all went to shit. I would have been better off being born in either 80s or 90s. Not that these decades were without problems but I feel like society as a whole was much happier. I know that I absolutely hated being a teenager during the 2010s with all this toxic social media shit.

I'd want to be born in the time that human civilization has advanced to star trek levels of technology. The pirate era, might have been nice as you could be instantly rich or instantly dead, ditto the cowboy era.

been feeling this a lot lately buds, like how in history or throughout people led had much more reliance on eachother, in a more hands on society, no internet to speak of untill relatively recently, they relied on eachother, people do tend to be better in years gone by, i swear i feel as if we are regressing, people get meaner, colder, shallower, and denser, by the day, you are onto something here, i agree with you, maybe tho it has always been shit who knows.

I probably would've been fucked up in any century … I had a family member who lost their mind in the late 1940s and never recovered… Something similar would have probably happened to me…

I'd take being born in the future. As long as its a cyberpunk one where I can modify the fuck out of my body and can get out of this hell of a shell that I'm stuck in.

In my case, I really should have never existed at all. There is nowhere that I belong and there is absolutely nothing here for me in this world. Even if I had different life circumstances or was born at a different time then I know that I would still be suicidal. My problem is with existence itself, I just want nothingness.

Wish I'd been born in a century without technology. Even 1970's, 1980s would have been great.

I wish i was born later actually. Maybe i would have been diagnosed earlier because doctors wouldnt have been sexist. maybe even be born to parents who knew how to handle a disabled kid rather than scream and blame me for not knowing my emotions and /or how do identify them.

On one hand, I feel like I was born a few decades too late. I was born in the early 80s, and feel like I should've been a part of my parents' generation instead. I would've loved to have been alive during the peak years of American manufacturing, quality, and scientific progress. Muscle cars, good hi-fi gear, the ability to have witnessed the moon landing as it happened. And to have my life winding down now that the world is going to hell from toxic politics and social media bullshit. On the other hand, with my neurological and psychiatric disorders, as @SparkleWater mentioned, I was probably born too early. Even in the 80s, nobody knew how to treat Tourettes. And even since then, most of the medications offered for anxiety and depression have been bullshit. So... all in all, I'd say it's a crapshoot and we've all got a good chance of being miserable no matter when we were born.

Excluding the fact that I should not have born at all, I think this age is fine. The past can be pretty draedfull. Conditions were far worse even if you were rich let alone for the poor. I would not wish victorian london to my worse enemy (well may just to her).

The country where I was born was destroyed by war. All I got from the new state was a ruined youth and lost best time. All this cost me a normal life that I was never able to build after that. That's one of the reasons I'm here.

I would've given anything to be born later and explore the stars like our ancestors explored the seas. I never cared about anything else this life had to offer as there was no path towards truth. Maybe truth lies among the stars somewhere, it's not here.

Some people tell me I'm mature (I don't really believe it) though I don't think this means I would have fit in better with a previous time period or anything. Wish I wasn't born at all! I'm good for nothing

Yeah about 50 years to the future would have been great. After that it get's kind of fucked up due to how the global warming is causing billions of starving people to wander around, causing huge political instabilities and whatnot. Not such a great time to be alive.

Lol you just would have spent those hours with titty mags and some other pointless nerdy stuff. Same difference. Coming from someone with a similar background.
