I hear all these success stories of overcoming anxiety. But, I've been in therapy, trying different therapy for a long time. Same with medications. Same with reducing stressors, taking vitamins, doing everything I'm suppose to and told too. Even when I was doing exposure therapy.

still not better if anything I'm worst now as I feel helpless and hopeless that it'll eont get better.

I feel sorry for the way your life is going. I also suffered anxiety very much in the past and I can understand a little bit how you could feel. I also tried to ftb because of that, I remember was one of first time I tried. If you feel talkative I am here

Anxiety for about 20 years here. Been through about 10 different ssri/snri meds and several therapies in the past. Getting steadily worse for the last 5 years fed by depression or vice versa. Nothing but stress and hopelessness remain.
I'd ctb today if I didn't have commitments, so I have to endure somehow. I just don't know how anymore...

Yeah it's one of my reasons too, I know anxiety can be managed but it's too hard for me. It's controlling my life and this world is not made for people like me. Anxiety is not letting me live happily
Same here. Sometimes I feel it's to hard.

My anxiety makes everything feel more urgent, terrifying, and it can be so debilitating. People act like it's just some joke, that I'm just being negative...like I'm trying to be a pain in their ass.

Yes, my main reason it's horrible to live in constant anxiety. I can't eat or sleep because of it. I am never at peace, I'm always on edge and it's ruining every aspect of my life. I just hide away in bed. Sorry to hear you are suffering too, here if you need to talk to someone who understands. I hope things get better for you!

When I say to someone I feel anxious all the time they usually grin or laugh...
I also feel anxiety is more accepted with females, being emotional is more accepted when you're a woman. But if you're a guy ....oh boy.

Yes times a billion. I usually cut myself to calm down and it works but recently it stopped working as well. So been planning exit strategies cause my social anxiety is just too much.

This is a rough place to be, I feel you.

Cutting used to offer catharsis, but over time, it helped me less & less. The last day I cut. impulsively I decided I would CTB that day (mind went into a empty of all thoughts & high determination, sort of autopilot). If not for not having supplies, dunno if I'd be here.

So I feel this & wish you didn't.

It isn't a predominant reason for me, despite being on the list of MH concerns I have; however, it does lend to bouts of agoraphobia.
