Due to my living situations, and the people i live with im constantly waken up at the middle of the night. Im sure its not a subjective experience, because other people who lived in this house couldn't sleep either. My parents are to blame for building such an awfully designed house (super thin walls, bad location, to save money, and dumb design decisions etc). I'm pretty sure anyone who were to live here would think the same as well.. Anyways In the recent years its gotten worse. A new road was built nearby that is really busy so its a constant noises of cars especially during rush hours and you can never sleep. During the summer time there is the constant sound of lawn mowers and in autm leaf blowers. Its winter now so theres barely any traffic or noise so i can be at relative peace. But once the winter ends and spring starts im going to reminded again thats its time to leave.

The traffic of trains nearby has also increased (the place i live which used to be a small town has recently become a city and has a lot of new people coming in) and the people who made those railroads must of not expected such heavy use because you can hear the trains from miles away and feel the ground shaking as it passes through at 1AM.

Another problem ive been having is constant high pitched electrical ringing in my right year. At first I thought it tinnitus but sometimes i step outside and can hear a clear electrical noise from some generator or somewhere.

All of this caused me to be non-functional for several years due to lack of sleep. I barely had any energy to do any of the activities i wanted or improve my life and lay bed ridden most of the time.

Fortunately i figured out ways to have better sleep with supplements, and expensive gadgets, all of which is unsustainable because I can't really afford them. Still its all unnatural and it isn't like normal sleep where you lay in your bed and fall asleep in total silence. I have to go through a whole regimen just to fall asleep. I just have to get out of here, and im probably going to CTB whenever i end up because i've literally got no place to go or a chance at getting a job.

I've been dealing with it for about a year now. I've tried sleep aids, drinking, weed, even quetiapine. Still can't sleep before 3, and sometimes I wake up around 7. It's so irritating.

Man I wish valerian would work for me. I spend a fortune on it, I hope that it will help I take it, loads of it and if it is working I don't think I'm getting any perceivable benefits

Sleeping herbs didn't work for me until I changed two things. One, mix different herbs together instead of using 1 alone which is always too weak for me, two, started getting herbal tinctures from a high quality source (a herbalist store) instead of local supermarkets and other rubbish sources where they sell shitty OTC herbal sleeping tablets that never work. Because my nervous system is screwed I have some really gnarly insomnia, but I have controlled it this way and don't have to go down the benzo road.

I go to bed about 3-4am and get up at 8am every day. I'm a walking zombie most of the time.
