During this so-called 'pandemic', you would think I have a very good chance of dying from the deadly virus. But no, I'm still alive and feeling very annoyed about it. I keep hoping that I will get covid and die. It's really the only solution for me, and I've thought about it a lot and my only other option is hanging but I worry that my survival instinct will kick in and I won't go through with it. I'd love to go quickly with a gunshot to the head, but firearms are banned where I live.
Anyone else looking forward and hoping to dying during this 'pandemic'? I am unvaccinated and refuse to get the jabs as I really hate the government in my country. I hate government and I hate big companies and big profits, so I'm not going to support their agendas. I'm also very fit but have started eating more junk food and stopped doing physical stuff, as I hope to get fat, as I hear fat people are more likely to get seriously ill and die. Oh, interestingly my psych will no longer see me or any patient who is not fully vaccinated (2 vaccines plus a booster). I started laughing when I saw the sign at his office as he is a psychiatrist and meant to help all people without judgement. Medical care (for any reason at all, even a sore eye or broken leg) in my country is being stopped to anyone not fully vaccinated. Any other tips for dying in a pandemic?

I posted a thread on this a few days ago as well. I was correctly reminded however that covid usually only ends up killing the old, and for us younger folks, most likely it will just lead to more suffering and health problems after recovery.

I hear you though, I'm just as desperate to go while not knowing exactly how to. I do have SN which I'm grateful for, but it's really hard to pull the trigger not knowing just how reliable it is.

It's a realistic possibility, unfortunately its good at killing those who don't want to die as well.

I had covid and it was so bad. I couldn't breathe, my lungs were filling up with fluid for 21 days. I couldn't walk, couldn't eat, or drink. When I recovered, people said to me "at least you didn't die". LOL I was like are you kidding me? I was hoping to, thank you very much.

Did you go to the hospital for treatment?

You could find a method that actually works...
I think it sounds like quite a good method, and I keep walking around hoping to get infected. I even tried getting into the supermarket (but was denied entry by security guards). I keep getting told that it's a pandemic of the unvaccinated, and if I don't take the vaccine, I will get very sick and die. They (the government and the media) keep saying it over and over.

Everything I once enjoyed is now trash as the tinnitus blasts into my ears and I can't even escape it through sleep. It's driving me mad."

I'm not planning on taking down anyone else. Most people are 'vaccinated' where I live. The unvaccinated are not allowed to go to hospital or to get medical care, so how on earth am I taking down anyone else? I plan to get it and die at home alone.

I'm not sure there are many pain free ways of dying. Hanging is meant to be quite painful, but compared to the pain of ongoing living, a week or two of covid doesn't seem bad. I'm assuming it will be quite painful but hopefully I can fall into a coma. The thing I particularly like about dying from covid during a pandemic is that a covid death will be easier for many people to accept. Death by covid is far better for my family to deal with, than death by an obvious type of suicide like hanging. If I die during a pandemic from a virus, it is easier to explain to interfering others who will ask what the cause of death is. I come from a family where death by suicide would be highly embarrassing and shameful for them. If I can spare unnecessary extra suffering for some of my family members, then I feel I should do so. A deadly pandemic is rare, so I feel it would be a waste to not try to take full advantage of the situation.
It's a realistic possibility, unfortunately its good at killing those who don't want to die as well.

But I am not happy. So it's not really comparable situations.

For what I've seen on TV they turn your body around so your bum is facing up and the front of your body lying down with a huge tube up your nose and mouth, if that's true that is not the way I would chose to go.

Doesn't sound great, but that's only for the people who get treated in hospital though? Where I live, they do not let unvaccinated into hospital, or to receive any medical care, so that would not happen to me. I also have a DNR sticker in case some do-gooder tries to interfere...

Here if you have the vaccination card you can escort someone to the hospital. But yeah it's not a pretty site on ICU, they even had to blur the people s how to put this, buttocks blurred in the interview cause it was all exposed. You know the back of a hospital patient clothes is open on the back. @flametrees .

Doesn't sound great but then anything to do with suicide involves bodily humiliation of some sort. You just have to accept you will end up fully naked on a tray in a morgue. When you die (from anything) you lose all control of your bowel and bladder, and that's just the way it is. Some people wear nappies or put a towel down to absorb bodily fluids when they know they are near the end.

My wife had COVID and quickly evolved to a serious condition, staying 41 days in the ICU, 35 days in an intubated coma and she didn't resist.
I don't know how young you are, but she was 36 years old, in excellent health, walked 30-35 km on weekends, was not fat, exercised and had good nutrition.
During the days I followed her, including the period she was in the ICU, I did not take COVID. I did tests and they all came back negative.
Since she died I have wanted to be contaminated and follow the same path she walked.
I know I might not be so lucky, because I saw other people in the hospital in worse condition than she was and they survived without any major problems. Others survived and were left with many serious sequelae (brain problems, locomotion, breathing).
Still, I want to take COVID, go into a coma, and leave. It doesn't seem horrible to me to die like this.
As other people have said here, this would be much easier for people to deal with my death this way than my suicide.
I have neglected the care, I didn't take the vaccines and the holiday season is starting.
Well, I have a 350-person party to go this weekend. Maybe my luck is there.

It is unlikely covid would kill me, it would probably just cause me more health problems. However dying from a health condition would be an awful way to die, I deserve to exit peacefully at a time of my own choosing.

Absolutely not, it's massively more likely to worsen my health and quality of life even more, it is incredibly unlikely it'd kill you. And I hear death by covid means struggling desperately for air for hours or days. Even hanging seems a more peaceful way to go.
