Anyone else just stare at the New Posts/Whats new section forever lol

new member here trying to be more active lately. I should be studying for my Java programming test tomorrow but instead im just procrastinating looking over the site and those sections lol. I had access to the live chat at the start but I think since new rules I gotta earn my way back in by being active cus this an "altaccount" since my last was deactivated by staff I think while I was in hospital and p much never used it. Was fun though the live chat, now I lurk a lot of posts thinking oh maybe my input could be helpful and try write a message for a while just to delete and not post lol cus shy

Sometimes, I'm compulsed to just refresh the page, browsing What's New, then check my Followed People feed. Hours go to waste while I feel a great amount of dread for being obssessed. I don't want to post much, and if I ever want to post, I could spend an hour or more constructing one but then scrapping it afterwards.

To me, I just attribute this behaviour to my isolation.

And yeah I might do the same for same sorts of reasons too :) its exciting having a new place to meet and talk to new ppl to escape from not always being the best at talking to ppl or making friends irl altho i try :3

Your studying java? I tried learning coding but i got bored of it. I really wish i was able to sit down and actually learn how to do it. I like how you can learn alone and get a job that has minimal human interaction.

ah yee so far I've learnt C++, HTML, CSS, PHP, assembly, i think mySQL counts too maybe and doing java currently. Its definitely a challenge :3 but something there is a wealth of resources and stuff to learn :0 It helps to have ideas of what exactly interests you and what you'd like to create with coding and maybe think up a project in any area that ur passionate about if its software or game development c:
