I'm not scared of the dark, but my sleep is constantly disturbed by strange dreams. Sleeping with the light on sucks too and it gives me a massive headache.

Not the dark. But I relate with the disturbing, strange dreams. I'm waking up oddly consistently through the night

I can't believe you've asked this! I was gonna do the same!
I don't believe in ghosts and all that stuff but I can't sleep in the dark anymore. I just don't feel confortable and waking up is kinda scary because I don't know where the hell I am! (I think this is happening to me since I was in a comma)
So, I always have some light turned on. Feels better.

For me it's the dark. But I'm not scared of the dark I'm scared of what I can't see and I can't see in the dark. I also hate blind spots so I avoid hoods and always check behind me.

I have several weird dreams every night. I love sleeping in the dark and being in the dark in general. I feel safe.

Sleeping in the dark is a non-issue for me, I do identify with the strange dreams, they have become so vivid and regular (particularly within the last 90 days) that I just avoid going to bed like the plague at this point. Waking up drenched in fear, sweat, and anxiety is no type of rest at all.

I didn't think about it because it's not effecting my sleep but I have been having really weird "dreams" lately. Idk if it's the meds or my disorders though.

It's kind of embarrassing, but I can't sleep without a light on... My mind goes to scary places when I'm trying to fall asleep in the dark.

I always sleep with a light on. I'm scared of bad things like bad ghosts. I used to be different and liked to sleep in the dark. I also used to need it completely quiet when I slept, but now it's very comforting to have something on my phone going while I fall asleep.

I prefer darkness, yet I never sleep in the dark.

I've never been afraid of the dark but since my country's first major lockdown, I've only been able to sleep with my blinds open and sometimes jump up or turn over to see the sky when I'm falling asleep. Bit weird. Relate to weird dreams as well. They make me feel like I've lost something when I wake up

Maybe, use a different colored light bulb, or a lower wattage bulb. Maybe, use a lamp and drape a non flammable material over the lamp to lower the brightness and reduce your headaches.

When I was little, I couldn't sleep in the dark, but could not sleep with too much light. My mom used to leave my bathroom light on, but with the door into my room just slightly cracked, in order to let in the perfect amount of light.

I need some kind of light on, usually just a lamp or something. I have a lot if trouble getting to sleep, and if I sit around in the dark, my brain starts trying to fill in the blanks. Same as if it's too quiet, I usually put music or TV on too.

If normal light is too harsh, red light tends to be easier on your eyes. I found that out when I was still suffering really badly from photophobia. It's fairly easy to find red light bulbs.

Yes, but that's mainly because I'm afraid to sleep in the dark.
I still have the same irrational fears I had as a child, and I'm in my twenties. It doesn't mather if someone is near me, i still feel like i could die any moment, it's really exhausting.

I love the dark. I like being in woods at night. Very calm and atmospheric.
