Not in Montreal, but I can share my experience in California

most of your stay will be spent rotting - everything in there is designed to stop you from killing yourself, and not give you actual treatment.

I just pretended to be "better" and wait it out until they eventually let you go. Took me 4 days.

Hope you'll be ok. It's a terrible experience for sure.
