I'm never going to have my own place and I really need that. It's a big reason I want to exit. Not being able to live where I want to and being able to feel secure like nobody can kick me out.

Yeah, it's one of the main reasons I think of dying, I don't think I can have what I want in life so I see no point in enduring struggle and suffering if that's true.

Metoo. You can always be kicked out. Homes include property taxes, a mortgage, etc. Apartments include landlords who can go into your place when you're not there. They can "boot you" by raising your rent, requiring a vaccine, not repairing things, not responding to your complaints regarding unruly neighbors.
