I've had som positive effects from regular vitamins; B12, B2, and iron, primarily. It's in no way a miracle cure, but I'd still recommend it. It's cheap, widely available and very safe.
There are many deficits that can cause depression and you should have a look into that. Vitamin D deficit e. g. can cause depression and when you are inside all day this can worsen your mental state.

Recommended daily dose for vitamin D is 4000 UI, I think. Going outside and having skin exposure to the sun for at least 15-20 minutes should help too! Rhiino is correct that many vitamin deficiencies can cause depression, it might be a good idea to also try a basic multivitamin so you know you have your basics covered!
