So I need a new coping mechanism besides sleeping and daydreaming about death.
Does anyone know about any substance which you can easily access in a pharmacy or something like that, which makes you feel different?
I don't know any drug consumers which I could ask for suggestions

Sounds dumb, but, if you don't smoke cigarettes yet, you might want to try that. Don't smoke more than 5 a day, to avoid physical dependency. And do not start smoking regularly, as that can and will turn into an addiction. Also, do not try this if you have lung problems. It will damage your lungs, at least a little bit.
I smoke cigarettes on occasion as a coping mechanism.

Weed. But I'm sure you already know. It's the best, because it doesn't develop strong addiction. But I would recomend doing it with breaks. Once maybe twice a week is ideal, otherwise it will start losing its effect.

I was a smoker for 4 years, I stopped recently and didn't smoke for a few months. I had a really bad stomach bug that got worse by smoking and I eventually stopped completely. Might start again soon tho.
Thank you :)

There are many ways to achieve quick and guaranteed stress relief that work for everyone: nicotine, alcohol, and so on, but all of these are harmful. However, there are methods that will help you personally, and only you can discover them. For some people, it's walking or reading, meeting new people, and so forth.

The non-risky methods don't give me the desired results. Risk is the key to euphoria, as borderlines say :)
But not everything works for everyone, you are right

Actually, exersise sometimes works for me too. The endorphins feel really amazing, probably much better high than most things. And it's better than any painkiller if you have a headache. It also has no negative health effects, more like the opposite and it stabilizes your reward circuitry.

But I get most people don't have time and energy for it. I barely exercise since I lost all my hope in life, so I guess depression makes it much harder to motivate yourself.

I had energy for that in the early stages of depression years ago. Now I don't have the energy to even walk the stairs without feeling my heartbeat in my head and ears.
I have to sit after walking for 10 minutes.
It's lasting years and physically I am "healthy"

Some weird shops and gas stations sell drugs that are legal because the authorities haven't had time to turn to it yet.

Sometimes (commonly after a lack of sleep) I have headaches that are absolutely incompatible with exercise, because any significant physical activity makes the pain like 10x more intense.

I have always had an extreme lack of energy for the most basic everyday tasks like changing bedsheets. Not only psychological exhaustion but also physical.
No matter how much I sleep :(

kratom is cheap and legal (at least in the us) if you're looking for something other than weed. it's kind of a pain in the ass if you do the powder (which is unfortunately cheaper than pills and extracts) but it scratches the itch for me when weed or pills aren't enough.

Sometimes I use N₂O from cream chargers mixed with oxygen to improve my mood when it's overly shitty, but this thing is somewhat risky and not suitable for regular use. I like to watch other people getting high from it too (this is completely safe ))

I use Nicotine Lozenges (4mg) cherry and ice mint flavor. I don't follow instructions on how to take them, but I find that it's the same "buzz" you get if you smoke cigarettes. But it's just the medicine nicotine in it—so no carcinogenic are in it. You can find Nicotine Lozenges, Gum, and Patches at your local Walmart or Target. They come in 2mg or 4mg for gum and lozenges. Different flavors too. These have helped me through a great deal of stress or if I just wanted to lay down and daydream.

dxm is OTC (at least here where I am) and mostly abused by teens 🤷‍♂️ it's a dissociative, pretty hard to get addicted to I feel (for reference, hard opiate abusers use DXM to cope with withdrawal from their opiate addiction), but before you start doing any substance, you have to research about it a lot. Be safe.
It's better off not to do drugs, at all. But the truth is; you can't stop anyone from doing them, especially someone who wants to do them. I believe in harm reduction here. fun fact, there has only been one confirmed case of death by DXM alone. the rule is to never mix, especially as someone who knows little to nothing about it. once again, be safe

Unfortunately I am unable to find pure dxm, only in cough syrups and pills for reducing symptoms of fever. Would it still work combined with paracetamol etc?

I agree it looks to have no effects but somehow passively it works on dopamine. Especially with alcohol.

It personally makes me feel a bit worse and anxiety but it gives me a reset. I feel different then have a good sleep and feel refreshed like i experienced reality differently. So I agree.

Kratom or weed if you live in the US. 7OH is a type of kratom that is very similar to opioids, and legal in most states. You can get it at any smoke shop. I'd be careful with it though, it can be very addictive if you dont pace yourself, and it can have some bad side effects if you do it too often.

I'd recommend something like Kratom or 7-oh. Both easily accessible at smoke shops and online. Kratom and 7-oh are both partial antagonist opioids that affect the mu-opioid receptor. Kratom, being much weaker and less addictive is a good place to start. Kratom helps with mood improvement and at higher doses, slightly euphoric.

Another good option that's easily accessible to order is Phenibut. This affects the Gaba-B receptor. It's closely related to prescribed medications like Gabapentin and Lyrica. Phenibut helps with anxiety, mood improvement, sedation, and confidence. This is a highly addictive substance and you can suffer from WD symptoms after just days of consistent use so I recommend taking breaks between uses.

yes it would work but high amounts of paracetamol are NOT worth it. nor ibuprofen, or gua-something that sometimes is added (these are called NSAIDs, DONT take pills with them, theyre added specifically so people wont abuse the substance). you need to minimise the strain you will be giving your liver. Cough pills or syrups are the way to go, gotta find ones with only dxm though. if you're in the USA the robotabs should be available I think, but I am from europe

Seconded. Paracetamol/acetaminophen (Tylenol, Excedrin, certain Mucinex brands, etc.) should NOT be recklessly ingested. Also, you'd risk, possibly, giving yourself a medication overuse headache—and those are very painful & irritating.

7 oH will.probably be banned soon. Ive read stories that the WD symptoms are pretty nasty.

If you want to focus i would go the metilphenidate route. Go to the psych and fake adhd. Maybe u get lucky.

If u want more relaxing i would go the tramadol route, but u will have to insist on headacahes for months. Its good to focus too
