Despite being rich in my 20s i am miserable and hate this meaningless existence, i don't even desire to buy anything because materialistic consumption is not fulfilling. I was considering donating some of it to charities but most of them are a scum, i might just burn it all and die.

Well even if they were richer they would still be miserable. Money is another distraction that anchors us to this garbage world for as long as the illusion last.

To tell you the truth, my dream before dying is to win to the lottery, giving the money to SaSu members who need it and leaving this earth peacefully. Not for being a hero, i don't give a shit, but to do something good before dying.

Now that I'm older, I really think I could be satisfied living as a hermit, as long as I could pay all the bills and had enough to take care of cats. Here is a funny situation that is happening to me: when I go to eat in elite restaurants, I'm always the worst dressed person there. The waiters and guests always give me weird stares, because I'm dressed like a poor man, while all of them wear some armani or versace clothing. But I don't care. I want to live my fullest in the little time I have left.

I don't care anymore how do I look, and I just don't have the strength to go and buy new clothing. Why should I bother to look pretty, when I'm so tired of everything and everyone.

I grew up upper-middle-class, and I saw how unhappy and unsatisfied my parents were with their lives. Just because one family is richer than the other doesn't mean their happier. Money can be a comfort, but it's not everything. The only way you are truly rich is being surrounded by love and people who care about you.

Maybe you could find some meaning in helping people in need? Similar to what someone said about donating to forum members whose reasons for wanting to CTB are mostly financial. Obviously you shouldn't restrict yourself to just the users in this forum, I'm sure there's also a lot of people around you who could probably use the help to varying degrees.

I'm not sure what your views or values are in this life, but I think anybody would agree that there is at least some meaning or satisfaction to be found in helping other people. Doesn't even have to come in the form of large handouts, I think just by being rich you have the opportunity to bless many people with random acts of kindness e.g. paying for someone's groceries, food & clothing for the homeless, helping someone pay their bills if they're struggling.. the list goes on. I suppose it would be particularly fitting now, with Christmas coming up soon.

Beats simply burning it all away, at least in my opinion.

Totally agree with you. Having loads of money is meaningless if you are riddled with health issues and your in pain on a daily basis, or if you are surrounded with fake friends who like you only for your money.

Nope, cant afford even basic medical care anymore. I feel like money wouldn't fix my brain but could solve 80% of my problems. (Housing insecurity, lack of medical or mental health care, inability to pursue any dreams or hobbies including having a family. Its all worse poor.

You could travel to South America in search of the "Elixir", it could be an "Indiana Jones"-like experience. Also, the charities don't have to be big names, just find a children hospital in your area that needs funding or an animal shelter, whatever small org. which does good.
