I'll probably get out soon enough but does anyone have an idea what I could do in the closed psych ward. I need ideas. I'm lost. Crazy ideas also welcome.
I'm not sure if we can suggest things? I think you'd have to do the research yourself.. someone posted an article the other day of a woman from the UK who CTB by choking on a vegetable burger in a psych ward. Maybe look for similar articles suicides in psych wards are rare approximately only 5% of all suicides but look how others have achieved it.. I'd choose the same or similar method. I hope you find peace

Found this case control study hope it helps there's a lot of useful information in there - apparently 46% of the cases that died in a ward were hangings its from 2013 I'll try find a more recent one… it says 1/3 of suicides were when the patient absconded or was on leave is that something you can do maybe?
Your best plan is to get out. Play nice, tell them you are feeling better, participate in activities, get out of there. There are very, very, very few methods available to you in a psych ward, and the chances of you getting caught are incredibly high, which leads to a much longer stay in much worse conditions.

Yeah exactly get out… I've probably spent 1-2 years in psych wards over the years and believe me I've tried and watched others too this one patient tried to jump the fence outside to escape but ended up with a broken leg and head banging on a hard surface so many do it. You could die if you kept doing it with enough force but highly unlikely similar to how people who slit their wrists can never cut deep enough because of survival instinct you mind won't allow you to harm you body in such way it's very very difficult you'd probably just end up severely brain damaged not dead have to be psychotic to actually achieve it
