I'm currently homeless and having nothing really to my name, no money, nothing. I'd possibly be willing to steal anything cheap and shopliftable to set up whatever method I chose, but I'm not really sure what i can do with no money. Most of the better methods I've looked through seem like they'd require some sort of permanent residence or money (hanging, sn, carbon monoxide, exit bag, etc). There's a river in my city and a couple of fairly high bridges over it but I'm not sure if that would be the best course of action to take, but if its guaranteed to kill me I'd likely be able to stomach a jump.

If anyone had any suggestions for what would work well in my situation I'm all ears, I have bit of time to figure things out and hope stuff gets better, but I'd like to plan for the worst.

I hear you. I am not homeless but out of money and food. Hanging if you can shoplift a rope or get a hold of at least a few bucks. other than that probably jumping. I dont know about how high it has to be if you jump into water tbh.

How's your pain tolerance? All the free methods will be very painful.

Shoplifting a rope that could hold my weight is a bit hard, plus theres not really any forests or good places to tie a noose around here.

I'm not sure how high you have to jump into water either, but I could potentially combine it with something intoxicating and possibly pass out in the water and drown if need be.

Tallest bridge here seems to be 48m to the water (157ft), so I'm not sure if that's high enough. The river is fairly deep and generally flows fairly fast.

I've been cutting on and off for around half a year, and I've been beat up fairly bad a few times. Have also almost ODed on opioids once (sure wish that actually worked), and attempted to starve myself for a while.

Idk how to exactly gauge my over all pain tolerance very well though but if I had to guess it would be on the higher side?

I am sorry for your situation. I would definitely go for the jump, if you can go up to a rooftop or maybe rent a room for a day, but make sure it's the highest place possible.

I'm gonna try to look up local news articles for ideas on buildings to choose. Theres a lot of tall ones around here, but I'm not sure how many have the roof easily accessible.

Jump would be the cheapest. I'm not a jumper, but I'd go into a volcano for insurance if I had one nearby. Landing on water with drowning as a backup. With my luck, I'd land on someone in the street and catch a murder charge haha

Maybe you can rent a hotel room as well (you wont need a penny after that) A fall from a very high place will not be painful indeed because you will die inmediately. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Good news I think, there have been a large number of recorded successful suicides from that bridge! 4 in 2015 and 6 in 2016, probably more since then but not much documentation.

Would you guys recommend trying to find something higher just to be safe?

I'd need a credit card for that I would assume and I dont have any sort of photo ID. Though I suppose I could probably get a card and go in debt and that would open up my options a lot. Just have to hope I don't survive somehow and have to pay it off.

I'll probably look into getting a credit card and re think my options a bit.

Lots of puking mostly, I think I threw up some blood then just felt really awful for a while after it got out of my system. If I had done just a couple pills more I probably would have died.

I'm so sorry that your homeless, that really sucks. I think about being homeless quite often (because that could be a possibility for me) and if I were homeless I think I would have to ctb by dehydration/starvation. Maybe I'm naïve but it's the only free method I can think of.

I hope your situation improves, your in my thoughts and prayers.

I've thought about decapitation by train if/when I become homeless. There's a lot of slow moving freight trains around here. Wouldn't have to traumatize the driver could do it at any part of the train.

Oooh you're right train might be smart. Theres some very fast moving trains in my city so I could probably sneak into the tracks during the night until they start up again and wait, though that might give me too much time to re think things...

Many people in jail succeed to hang themselves, so if you really want it you will find a way.

depends on what level of pain you are willing to accept, hanging is one way, throwing yourself under train is another, jumping from a high building, jumping into on coming trafic at 50mph should kill you, you could always buy petrol and set your self on fire, better yet get some heroin and inject it tho not free are very cheap

Walking onto train tracks will be relatively painless, because the impact will probably knock you unconscious.

Shallow water blackout could work, since a lot of people die that way by accident (actual accident, not just disguised suicide). I'd try it myself if I could convince anybody that I suddenly took up swimming again (or had a bathtub).

In your situation it´s difficult to order things. Maybe you find a local store where you can buy a tourniquet for the carotid method. It costs US$12,- or sometimes even less. The brand that I have is " TIME: " You can find a tourniquet in outdoor stores or army stores and on the internet (a........). Jumping or train is too risky. If you survive your life would be worse than now.

If you lived in the EU and could receive mail, I would give you SN or a tourniquet for free.

I really think that if I knew the answer I would already be gone. I am personally trapped in this world as ctb is so difficult for me and the fear of failure is what holds me back. It is so unfair how we are forced to exist and yet it is so difficult to leave. The train sounds like a horrifying method to me, I think that someone must be really desperate to be able to ctb that way. I'm sorry that you are in this situation. Life really is so cruel and it is horrifying that such a thing as homelessness even exists. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

I'm jumping Beachy Head and it'll be with travelling about £65 using train.

I walked into a home depot and walked out with a bag of charcoal.

I also have an exit bag that I made but that cost me 50 bucks. It's in my trunk,
