I don't know much about chemistry, but I've seen that "re-crystallization" is often a first step in purification which involves mixing the sn with the solvent (water) then allowing it to evaporate, whereupon more pure crystals will form. But exposure to the air also degrades it, right? Would it not be worth removal of impurities?
So as a pre-step, could one potentially create the sn solution in 50ml-100ml water with 22g (After reading the side effects from most of the individuals who took it, for me, it seems like there are more side effects at 25g than 20g, and 20g was still plenty successful).
Also will Technical Grade 99% still work even though it's marketed as a curing salt? It's the same compound, isn't it? The SN bible doesn't mention Technical Grade.
I'm concerned industrial SN may have worse impurities, even in the higher purity, than food grade SN or reagent SN made specifically for labs, Like, what's in that 1% impurity, especially if it's marketed for industrial uses?
P.S. if anyone knows the DMC, please PM me. I had to go to extraordinary lengths to find sn, so I'm not entirely sure on its reliability. I imagine it will still do the job, I'm just concerned about needless side effects.
