Please post anything informative (this is not for discussions, respect my dying wish and do not pollute this thread).
There's nothing I believe in more than Antinatalism and Efilism. This forum allows a little glimpse into human suffering and condition, but there are countless other reasons why we should reject Nature and work together to end life (and death) on this planet. It's the most rational and responsible approach liberating everyone, the actual Total Liberation. As long as we don't, we make a mockery out of our existence, we power the machine that keeps hurting us (and others).
If we were a rational species, we already wouldn't exist. Humans notably aren't - it's important to remember that before getting all opinionated. We are often socialised the wrong way, lack awareness/empathy, have unconscious biases and instincts that work against us. Nature has never selected for our well-being, just behaviours that ensure reproductive success. It's not relevant to seek answers as to why, nothing can justify this suffering.
What the anti-suffering movement means for me: ending Wildlife food webs, not breeding any sentient beings (human or nonhuman), and supporting left-wing policies as long as people continue to exist - everyday essentials should be a guarantee, no one should be bullied or discriminated for their characteristics, disabilities, appearance, people shouldn't be forced into labour, sentient beings shouldn't be commodified and slaughtered for taste. Like all the other types of progress, this is also going against Nature, as it is not interested in convenience, equality, or peace.
The initial books to read:
David Benatar "Better Never To Have Been"
Thomas Ligotti "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race"
