The video was mostly fear-mongering, as to be expected, but I was pleased that she at least gave some space to express some prochoice opinions.

i thought the video did a decent job... the only thing was it spent a lot of time on incel discussions, which don't have much to do with the forum, and she also spent a lot of time on men taking advantage of women on here.

i think that's a very small percentage of this site, and all sites have a percentage of incels and women-haters...

i wish she spent more time on the positives of this site. there's a reason so many of us like this site... it's because you can be super sad and miserable and not be judged and pressured to get better if you don't think it's possible.

i think her video was actually mostly decent. compared to the bbc articles that are just saying the site is evil, it felt like she was sharing her honest views, mostly.

i wish the video actually discussed euthenasia more. she talked about how she supported euthenasia, but only in certain circumstances. most of us have zero access to that. personally, if i could be sure of non-involuntary care and that if i tried to get better in X number of ways I could die, I'd be willing to give treatment a try... as long as suicide was an option if everything failed. i wish the video had more of that, how this community exists because people can't speak openly in most situation.

like i hestitate to say it was "good," because any publicity for this site even anonymous usually causes problems, but if not for the whole incel tangent it would have been okay.

I agree. She spent little time talking about the recovery section. There is a lot to this site.

She spoke about method threads like they're encouragement. I find it quite different. It's important to see how difficult it can be, which will discourage people from trying methods that may injure them more.
