Amlodipine instead of Propranolol in SN method ?

Can amlodipine be used as a substitute since it also used to treat high BP ?

The main purpose of taking propranolol is to slow down your heart rate which will spike with SN. Amlodipine doesn't have much of an effective on your heart rate.
