It is possible if the dosage is high enough, but it is usually taken with other drugs like valium, digoxin and morphine to form a lethal cocktail known as DDMA.

Yep. This is an approved protocol in several U.S. states. Amitriptyline can be swapped out for propranolol, in a mixture known—logically—as DDMP. Actually, the mixture with propranolol is more common. The issue is that this mixture kind of takes away the appeal of using amitriptyline/propranolol in being so easy to obtain, as the valium and, especially, the morphine are very difficult to get ahold of in the quantities required.

Also, there is an amitriptyline entry in the PPH.

Short answer is Yes. The rational answer is not on its own. Amitriptyline has indeed been used for medically assisted death. But there are stages to the medical process. First they give you sedation and anti anxiety (diazepam). Next is digoxin which as I understand it is to set the heart up to fail. Then the all important morphine so you won't feel any kind of pain and likely at that point would already be unconscious. And finally they give Amitriptyline to Finish you off. So if you just went and took a bunch of the stuff yeah you have a chance at dying (although not really an amazing chance from the data I've seen on just that alone). I can't find great reports on what the overdose experience is like but I know from the pharmacology and medical reports that it's gonna be less like a heroin nod and closer to having a heart attack for an hour straight while you slowly lose control of all your muscles until your heart stops or you choke to death. I'm not trying to fear monger you or anything I'm just trying to explain why doctors will give you sedatives and morphine beforehand.

Hi thanks. Confused as peaceful pill just says amitriptyline and alcohol I think. Here people talk about a cocktail although I can't make links work as to what that is. Wouldn't be able to get morphine etc.
Ive got amitriptyline antiemetic and alcohol.
Thanks xx
