For context, the YPPA is a law that was introduced in February 2025 to limit the legal sale of SN to concentrations of 10% or less. It has not passed yet, being stuck in the senate since April 2025.
On the one hand, I think a lot of politically aware people already know that proposed laws in the USA are often framed as "protecting the children" to increase the likelihood that they get signed into law. On the other hand, I think the massive freedom boner that many people in this country have mean it'll likely face a good amount of scrutiny from lobbyists and may get shot down for this reason.
With that being said though, I do kind of lean on the side of "it will likely be passed at some point."
