Is Tor compatible with the popular Crypto trading websites?

On one website I'm forever getting security checks that say "please wait while we check your browser"
On another website I get "403 ERROR The request could not be satisfied. Request blocked. We can't connect to the server....."ect

If I let the security check complete I'm worried the website will totally refuse Tor and lock me out for good?

Surely others are experiencing this? What is everyone else doing here to get around this?

I need to buy cryptocurrency. I'm not very tech savvy and there's only so much I can understand by myself. I'm suffering very, very badly and I'm just getting completely overwhelmed with all the tech/crypto payment stuff.

The tech stuff confused me but when I was trying I found someone on a thread who seemed to know what they were talking about and PM them. You can try that also. Some sites go down sometimes but come back up, but I never came across a security check. If this is for A, there's other ways to pay.

Thanks.

I just don't like bothering people but I will need to ask as there's only so much I can understand.

You can buy BTCs on the clear-net and then mix/convert them when you'll need them to buy whatever on the darknet markets

So that means just not using Tor when buying crypto on the exchange websites?

Thanks

Convert it to monero though.

Some don't respond, some do. Most are helpful because they are in a similar position one way or another and understand you're in a difficult position. Goodluck

You shouldn't access clear net exchanges with Tor. For instance, if you are using coinbase, use a standard VPN to buy your crypto and send it to your local wallet (or your Cake wallet exchange address for XMR). Then use Tor for the purchase. Coinbase, and a few other exchanges, will shut down accounts if they notice suspicious activity. And Tor is fairly suspicious.

Ok, this could explain the issues I've been experiencing and is also what I've been trying to figure out. Another member here mentioned in another thread problems using Tor *and VPN's* specifically with Coinbase, and this made me think it's probably true for the other popular exchanges too. I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about this.

So would I be doing wrong not using a VPN at all incase the exchange close the account? A problem was reported that using a VPN with Coinbase messed up his registration, as the location of his VPN was different to the country he selected to register the account. Even though I'm not using Coinbase, I'm guessing the same applies for the other exchanges too.

Thanks very much.

You can use an exchange without a VPN if you need to. As long as you make sure to always send to a local wallet. Never send a payment straight from the exchange.

Right. So that of course means using my regular ISP. Nothing will be sent from exchange. Thanks so much.

Plan on using my regular Safari browser with the exchange, which I'm guessing is ok? Don't know if there's compatibility issues using the Brave browser with the exchange, or if using Brave would help at all?

Thank you.

Look, it doesn't matter since you are buying BTC from coinbase which probably will need your info. Having BTCs is not illegal, buy illegal good and services is.
I suggest you read this

Mirko, hope you don't mind another question...

I need to download a crypto wallet (and Google Authenticator) from the GooglePlay store, but I'm reading that using the Play store whilst running a VPN is another problem. People saying GPlay stops operating properly. I really need to avoid that as it would mess everything up for me.

Is it safe I install these apps without using a VPN, and then after, when I need to actually use the apps, switch it on? I know I need to always have the private network switched on whilst using the wallet.

Thanks!!

Google detects most of vpn's IP and it it could cause some problems in downloading the apps.

Using a VPN whilst using the walle seems to me a pointless operation since crypto wallet are not linked to IP.
For future question I advise you to visit the subreddit r/BitcoinBegginers.

Great. I'll read through it. I've learnt everything by reading through all the threads, it's just that some things I haven't been able to find answers to.

I know I've already said thank you, but thank you very much again! Thank you, thank you, thank you
