So I was practicing the nigh night method yesterday with a ratchet strap and some thick pairs of socks and as I was tightening the strap I started to feel this uncomfortable sensation in my head as if it was pumped full of blood that wasn't leaving. Perhaps I'm not describing it well but that's the best I can describe it.

Is this is a sensation I should be expecting to feel when performing this method or am I perhaps compressing something I shouldn't?

Any help/guidance would be much appreciated

Did you feel like your head was about to explode and did you feel numbness throughout your body and a tingling sensation? If so, then you did it right. If not, then you should try to search a little more for the sweet spot.

When I have had successful trials with just one hand, the other hand has gone tingly and I've gone lightheaded and my vision has slowly darkened, then I've release my grip because I know that is correct. But when I've tried it with paracord and a wooden spoon (and thin scarf for a bit of padding) I get what I think is the sensation you have described which doesn't feel the same. I don't begin to feel like I'm going to pass out or anything like that, so I think that has blocked the wrong thing.
