As I near my final days, it's become so clear to me that the most important thing in life is your health. I would go back to a shitty job and being heartbroken if my health was still good. Of course, without money or relationships health is poor. But damn so often health wasn't my priority and it should have been.

If you're deciding to live on, please prioritize your health. Fuck money, relationships. That stuff comes and goes, but you will be able to endure if your health is good.

Health problems really can torture us and can ruin our lives. You are right that health is important. This life is so unfair, many people get health conditions that they can do nothing about and they suffer so much. It is such a horrible world we live in where awful health conditions exist. It is cruel how the society denies the option of euthanasia. I'm sorry that you are suffering. I wish you the best.

Health is something that if you always had, you may take it for granted. Thats what happened to me. I agree with you 100%, nothing else matters if you don't have good health.

It's a shame that if your mind is fucked, not only is an otherwise healthy body impossible to appreciate, your action or inaction will undermine what health you had to begin with. Only then you'll realize what you took for granted, and it's often too late.

Health can come and go, as well. Health is important, but in my opinion it's not necessarily more important than money/relationships.You typically need money to maintain optimum health (tragic but true). And if you have poor relationships this can affect your health negatively as well.

You mind is fucked due to health. Mental health is actually a chemical disease due to abnormalities in the body.

It could be a deficiency, an excess (say too much copper in the liver), a minor infection or toxicity that throws things off leading to issues in the brain.

A lot of people are born with these things. And would be considered "genetic." But it could be as simple as your diet as a little kid. And majority of people with these "mental health defects" actually could recover fully if a skilled practitioner with the right testing and the person needs to the will to get better too.

I think 99% of people on this forum could regain the will to live if the right science and help was involved to help fix their brains. I don't think anyone out there has things completely right but nutritional balancing sciences does a good job of explaining it all.

I was saving my life for years with this stuff, but my illness got too severe. When things went right, things went right. And life was a pleasure to live. Unfortunately, when I strayed from this stuff listened to doctor I ended up with severe irreversible damage.

Check out for Tara Condell. Beautful young skilled nutritioner that fought depression.

My mental health issues are mainly genetic. My biological Father who I have not seen for many years now is a paranoid schizophrenic. I began experiencing wierd things at around 6 years of age such as depression, anxiety and depersonalization. I am now in my 50s and nothing has changed. I inherited his fucked-up brain chemistry via biology, but at least I I dont suffer the horrors of schizophrenia like He does. Nutrition can help, especially a good vitamin b complex and magnesium for depression, but it is sometimes not easy to absorb for some people.

I think this is true to an extent, but if I were to guess I'd say trauma, isolation and internet and substance addictions I subsequently developed play as big or bigger a role. Too bad we live in a hyperindividualist hellhole of profit based and not holistic healthcare.

Yes and those things chemically fucked you up just as mentally.

If I were a random suicidal person no disease- and I just had mental health issues. Docs tried with antidepressants etc- didn't work. If I was that person I'd know what to do to evaluate.

Trauma is the tough one. Can you get over what is making you so angry all the time. But still. I'd probably say don't eat anything just water and maybe a little vegetable juice for 10 days. Maybe get in a sauna, maybe go to the beach vacation while you do it live on the ocean.

Could just give you the kick in the butt where you appreciate life again. It does so many things for the body when you fast. I'm not talking one of those juice cleanses- I'm saying a straight fast. Maybe 30-40 oz juice absolute max shooting for 16 or straight water.

I'm sorry, I just am one of the physically broken ones here. I have a different disease now than when I did all that stuff. And it worked incredibly. Pharma fucked me, new disease and now I'm here smh.

My parents are two of the most fucked up people I know. And THEY FUCKING MARRIED AND REPRODUCED! WHAT THE FUCK!!!! I never had a chance. I am able to recognize my inherited mental illness is a problem but I'm imprisoned by it, impaled by it.

Yes, that's absolutely true. I used to not understand why people wished others good health for their birthdays, but now I do. Because not having that really ruins every aspect of your life. When my body is torturing me all I can do is to somehow try to get through the day. And it's just awful.
I can deal with psychological pain quite well at this point. But physical pain or general lack of wellbeing is probably something I'll never be able to handle.

Yes, that's precisely the reason why I want to die. I'm suffering from horrible chronic health issues from more than 10 years and it caused me irreversible damage, I wouldn't wish this to anyone really. I've not been living for all that time, it's literally a nightmare. I don't want to diminish other people's sufferings but I'd gladly swap what I have for a depression. In fact as a result of that I have depression, and let me tell you that it's not even comparable to my health problems, in my case as I'm not gonna talk for other people's situations as I know everyone is different.

I just wish I had an easy way out, partial hanging is difficult as SI always kicks in, and it's not fast either, quite the opposite.

i agree, i'm here because of physical health problems as well, though I understand that there are many reasons someone might want to ctb. physical health with irreversible symptoms or illness is such an anchor, it has ruined every part of my life and i would take any problem over this.

As much as humans strive to reach the spiritual world, we are physical beings after all. Our body is the single thing that ties us to this world. Therefore, the pain our body experiences is the most raw and real pain there is. In those moments, we are yet again reminded of out fragility. I sincerely wish you happiness and a life free of pain. 🍀

Cannot remember what life was like before my vision was permanently blurry and I existed in a constant state of brainfog. No one understands a health issue like this. Just say I need to try harder, push through. Permanent pins and needles from the knee down, and it spread to my hands. No one understands how it feels to be permanently exhausted, yet unable to sleep. I took my health for granted. Most people don't go through this until they reach old age. I don't understand how this is meant to be life. I'm only 22. My heart goes out to anyone else who suffers like this.

"The grass is always greener…"

I'm just going to assume you include mental health in your statement that health is the only important thing to a happy life. Because then I'll agree with you.

And no, drinking fruit juice for 10 days isn't going to cure your mental health struggles, that's crackpot shit. Is nutrition a vital factor? Absolutely. Is it the cause of all mental illness? No.

Mental health is affected by everything. Childhood experiences, inherited/spontaneous biological factors, nutrition, exercise, trauma, relationships, socioeconomic factors, environmental exposures, our individual capacities for coping with emotional pain… how is none of that just as important as physical health?

Pain is pain. Emotional or physical. Let's not make it about who suffers more or who doesn't get to say they're suffering based on their unique situations. Let's not delve into the shitty stigmatizing harmful belief that people with mental illness just need to eat more vegetables and hit the gym.

THIS!!! 100%. I wouldn't be CTBing if I had my physical health and my mental health. My entire life has been a battle with these two. All of it is treatment resistant. It pains me. I could have pushed through anything, but not treatment resistant totally incapacitating health issues.

I honestly find myself getting annoyed at people complaining about petty problems - like you have your health, you will get over someone cutting you off in traffic, or not doing their dishes on time Rhonda.
