A few weeks ago I ended up in the ER because of too much alcohol. I dont remember anything from what happened before nor do i remember any pain that came with it (only vaguely since it all felt like a dream). I had 2 per mille (is that the right way to say it? I'm not a native english speaker.) and ever since I've been thinking a lot how easy it COULD be to ctb like that. Obviously I would vomit a lot and all that but it could still be possible? According to my mother she already thought I was dying because my heart beat so slow. I don't drink usually but I've thought about alcohol + promethazine and maybe drowning? Everything would be easy accessible but I'm still unsure how reliable it would be. I wish everything could be just over.

I'm just going to bump this one as I'm curious about this as a potential method. The singer Jani Lane passed away due to acute alcohol poisoning, so could this be an option?

I'll have to research Jani's passing out of curiosity. I would think one would get sick and vomit the excess prior to getting close to poisoning, that's certainly been my experience when I over indulged!

Same here. I was never much of a drinker, but when I have drunk, I just get sleepy. However, what would downing a bottle of something like everclear in one go do?

I've considered this way too.

Sleeping tablets and a bunch of alcohol in a bath and hope I drown whilst unconscious

It looks like Jani Lane was found surrounded by a "half empty bottle of vodka and and prescription pills." I'd wager the pills had to do with it. Even half of the largest bottle of vodka wouldn't be fatal to a man of his weight and history of alcohol consumption. I am really not sure about everclear. I'd seriously doubt the body wouldn't expunge itself of the toxic substance before any fatal damage could be done. I do plan to get good and drunk on a nice bottle of champagne prior to CTBing with my N2 setup but it isn't my primary method.

Hmm I thought so.

I'll probably be going with partial as I can't get SN here, so it will be a lot of beers and probably some OTC pills. Still, I think that there would be a way to CTB using alcohol alone.

Any alcohol related studies I can find indicate cause of death is either driving accidents due to under the influence driving or alcohol consumption with other major risk factors (cardiac disease, etc.). Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to use alcohol alone to CTB with a high chance of success no matter how much you drink unless you have major underlying conditions. Keep in mind Jani was nearly 50 years old and had admittedly abused his body with hardcore drugs for decades. This surely contributed to his death. Without the same risk factors...

Just seems like a very low chance of success with pills or alcohol. First time success is my absolutely priority so I wouldn't choose either of these options.

Relying on alcohol alone or even in combo with pills has a very, very low chance of success if you are young and fairly healthy. If you have major heart disease or other conditions, it could be a viable route.

It is very easy to Google and do your own research. I suggest doing so before you make any attempt. I find it notable there isn't a lot of information on this site regarding alcohol as a method. If it was a viable option, the info would be here.

Fair point. I actually don't think that Jani Lane intended to kill himself. He may have just been "lucky" (or unlucky, if you prefer).
