Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hi!

[English isn't my mother tongue so sorry in advance for possible incorrections.]

I found it really hard to have the guts to take the step from the ledge and jump for CTB, so I'm wondering about drinking alcohol before to relax and calm me down. I'm not interested of using benzos, because I'm unfamiliar with it. Alcohol usually makes me to not concern over my bad thoughts and to not bother about things. So for me it will probably have the opposite effect, so I don't think it would work for me unfortunately.

But what I really wonder is if alcohol will make the body to be less tense and too relaxed when impacting the ground. Will it because of that become a bigger risk of failure? Of course I understand the successfulness is very much about the height. But if we are thinking about buildings with around 8-12 storys. What are your thoughts about drinking alcohol before an attempt?

While alcohol does lower your inhibitions it also takes away coordination. It can be a tricky balance between drinking just enough to relax but not so much that you are not able to physically perform your method. Or, if you are unlucky, you are me and alcohol makes you forget about suicide and you just go watch a movie instead. 😅 In your case if you jump, you may not be coordinated enough to climb over a barrier/rail if you have too much.

While being in a relaxed state can make you more likely to survive a fall, given enough height, it should not make that much difference, especially if you aim to land on your head. The recommended distance is 150ft (46m) onto concrete or 250ft (76m) onto water. That long of a fall should kill you no matter what state you are in.

SI (survival instinct) is very difficult to overcome and everyone has their own way of dealing with it to various levels of success. I'm sorry life brought you here and I hope you find peace. 🫂

If it's just jumping from somewhere, alcohol is probably fine to ease anxiety. If a method is more complex and requires focus, maybe not so much. I don't think I'd drink until after I got to the ledge.
