There is no hell. This hoax was already used by the church in the middle age with indulgence sales to collect money from the people who had the same fear as you and scams like Peter Popoff still making money with all that heaven and hell nonsense until today. I don't want to hurt religious feelings from anyone, but this is a free speech forum.

For the afterlife only one universal dimension exists, but everyone if forming the afterlife for the own person in the last minutes. So if one has a fear, that there is a hell, it will be probably. You are designing your own stage.

Have you watched some videos on near death experiences? On youtube you can find a good channel which interviews people who had a near death experience. I find it interesting since the people talking about it experience heaven, hell , leaving their bodies. If you want you can check it out. It is in german though:

This was one reason for me to join this forum: Hear the opinions on this subject from people in a similar situation.

My experience in this life is, that all what we do has consequences for our future. The idea that I design my own afterlife is not very encouraging in this context. Only when I know, that the probability of any kind of afterlife is almost zero I can be sure that I will not go to hell for my suicide. For this purpose I studied the latest findings in brain research and the result is: There are no indications that consciousness or subconsciousness can exist without a living brain.

Look at it this way. Let's say for arguments' sake that God is definitely real and He's completely omniscient, loves humans, and all that jazz. Now I'm going to try to answer your question with more questions.

Why would He design an afterlife where the only options are to either suffer eternally, be bored eternally, or eternally feel total bliss but only if you basically lived a perfect life?

What kind of idiot would code things so that any individual who suffered so much in life that they felt they had to end it all automatically has to suffer even more?

What sort of complete buffoon would even condemn errant souls of the species they created in their own image to experience infinite torture without ever even granting them a chance to redeem themselves?

We're still assuming He's real and everything they say He is, right? Why then would He let this stuff happen? Answer: He wouldn't. He must know better.

The nice thing about humans is that even seemingly irredeemable pieces of shit who've committed the absolute worst acts possible can still make the change to atone and become better people, given the proper time and resources needed to genuinely improve of course.

Why deny anyone this opportunity? Surely instead of sending criminals to prison to rot and waste away, a better solution is to rehabilitate them, right? For bad people, rehabilitation in the afterlife is a far better solution because it could at least lead to them somehow becoming a positive force in the world for all we know. A benevolent and all-knowing God surely must know that this is a far better solution, would you not agree?

Surely everyone deserves a chance at peace, even if it's from their own crimes. After all, the punishment simply does not fit the crime. No human is physically capable of causing eternal suffering. Even the worst acts can have good consequences in the long run or even if they don't, their negative impacts WILL eventually wear off. Eternity is a long, long time if you really think about it. Thus eternal suffering could never possibly fit any crime as a punishment.

Then again, maybe God isn't actually all-knowing, all-loving, or whatever. Maybe He really is just a petty dick who casts out anyone who doesn't play by His rules. That's always a possibility. It's also equally possible that He really is all those things meaning the perfect afterlife is still a possibility. It's also totally possible that literally nothing happens when you die, at least nothing that you'll ever experience consciously.

The only hell that exists is the one we already live in. There is no evidence of their being anything after this life. I believe there is nothing, once we lose consciousness that is it for us. Death is freedom from all pain and suffering.

Personally I do believe in reincarnation. I believe that our conciousness leaves our bodies when we die and continues its travel. And then at one point takes a new body. But this is just my belief. Theres some reasearch about non localised conciousness. So science is researching this. I dont believe suicide is a "sinful action" like some religions scare us though.

My theory is that the "afterlife" is just us experiencing the last moments of our subconscious. I read a bunch of NDEs and people described that time in their brain moved slower than in real life. There's also been studies on the brain and how there's still some brain function right after a persons death. I think those couple of seconds or minutes will be our "afterlife". In reality it's only a short period of time but in our brain it might feel like an eternity. I think what that afterlife will look like is based on your actions from this life and how it's affected your subconscious. For example if you've done super bad things and have been a very mean person to others your subconscious mind may be a not very nice place. Those who had NDEs from committing suicide still saw nice things and felt good. There was one man who I think did some really shady and bad stuff he saw some scary shit.

Nowhere in the Bible is suicide forbidden. Jews don't even have a 'hell' in the same sense as Christians do.
So many early Christians were committing suicide to get to heaven that they had to step in and prohibit it a few centuries into the religion because I guess who's gonna pay tithes if they're all dead huh?

I can't speak for You, but I do know what will happen to ME in the afterlife. I shall stand in judgement before the high court, and they will say, Elegy how do you answer to the charges against you?? And I will say, Innocent. I am Innocent of all charges, because, I did not ask to be born. Further, I did not ask to be mentally ill. Also, I had poor parental guidance.

People working at the University of Virginia have found that the patients with more oxygen in their brains and on fewer drugs are more likely to experience an NDE. This goes against the prevailing theory that NDE's are the result of a dying brain or are hopped up on drugs. Though some have experienced NDE's when there was no detectable brain activity at all. Some that have experience NDE's are able to tell about things that happened outside of their room that they couldn't have known if they did not actually leave their body. Also, people that experience NDE's report that the experience was more real than this existence.

There is also no explanation or even a reasonable hypothesis regarding how a brain could create consciousness ... matter itself would need to be conscious to some extent which would suggest that consciousness is one of the primary substances of the universe.

Well to answer your question , as for me here is what I have to say.. No one knows whether or whether not there is hell..because honestly no one knows what will happen after we die..But to use right judgement I believe if God exists one way or the the other he will have to punish people who do wrongs( for example killing other people for no reason)
But for your question I guess what you asking is whether suicide would be considered a wrong ..from my view suicide would not be a wrong as it is inflicted on myself....

I jest. I have been visited by Angels in 1999, and I was shown God in Heaven. The problem, people have, is anthropomorphizing god. Human brain can not imagine anything beyond human qualities. For example; Love. Compassion. Forgiveness.
For humans, love, compassion and forgiveness are almost always conditional. Thus the concept of boundless unconditional love and understanding is... unfathomable, and so the concept of Hell was invented. By Human brains. God, Never said, Hell awaits you. Only Humans did. We fear the darkness beyond because we can't imagine existence without being judged and condemned. And again that is because, humans can not, or are unwilling to, grasp, anything loftier than themselves. However I am here to tell you, there does indeed exist a totally unconditional love. In that dimension, You are eternally loved, no matter what you have said or done. But don't take my word for that. See for yourselves, when the time comes. And when you arrive, you will know. No dark Hell awaits you. Only boundless unconditional Love and Light do.

Mind you, that does Not give you a free pass to be a horrible person. There are consequences for that. Buster boy.
I'm gonna spank you is what consequences

The afterlife has always fascinated me.

I like to think the experience is like taking psychedelics etc at the beginning of death. Doesn't the brain produce high amounts of DMT prior to death? Is this the gateway to the next dimension?
I can't go with the theory that there is nothing after death - to me, it just doesn't make sense.
We know energy cannot be destroyed, only transferred. Like the caterpillar to the butterfly.
I believe we return to a higher state of consciousness before we make our next journey.

I am a fan of the book, A wanderer in the spirit lands. It's really good, you can download it for free.
I also read the book - Vistas of Infinity, how to enjoy life when you're dead.

The first book was written in the 1800's and vistas was written more recently.
Both books have very similar accounts and I find are very connected in their experiences.
The first book was claimed to be written by a ghost through a medium and the second was written by a man who frequently has OBE's for his own understanding. Truly fascinating!

I also worked in healthcare all my life, mainly dealing in palliative care. Some of the accounts there have been fascinating. I've seen people talk to deceased relatives and telling them they're coming to meet them.
I've experienced paranormal phenomenon after death with objects moving, alarm bells going off in the deceased persons room when they never used the alarm bell in the first place..
Clocks spinning like crazy, seeing shadowy figures waiting for their dinner at the dinner table (3am..) yup.

It's truly fascinating and I just want to know more..

What will happen in the afterlife. Please tell me im not going to hell for suicide
I want to commit suicide but I am concerned about what's on the other side including the possibility of hell, mainly because I experienced living in a haunted house. There was some sort of beast that appeared in audio form where I could hear it breathing, it revealed itself one day when I was in high school home alone because I missed the bus. I found out laTer that it had also terrorized my mother and one of my sisters. We found out that my father had been doing voodoo (black magic/ceremonies) so he must of pulled it out of the spiritual realm. To make a long story short, ever since that traumatizing experience of paranormal activity, and hearing a beast with 8ft wide lungs breathing, I've been scared to go to the oTher side by suicide. I'm thinking that monster had to come from somewhere, maybe hell? I don't want to see it on the other side, or anything like it, but I'm suffering so much for so long I want to CBT anyway. I hate that I have this fear, I probably would have done it a long time ago.
