what would you prefer to happen after you die? I hope to become a ghost, honestly. And I like to believe there's some sort of afterlife, where you have no hurt, or sadness, just eurphoria.

Personally If I had an preference for an afterlife then I honestly would want it to be a personal heaven or something similar. The afterlife is what you make of it theory.

Here I go dreaming about blissful death again. Dammit Monday why don't you hurry up and get here.

becoming a ghost sounds miserable. like another user said, a personal heaven would be nice. I also wouldnt mind being resurrected into someone else. I don't hate life I just dont like mine and if I could restart with a different body then I would.

In my ideal post-death experience I would prefer to relive this life but in sandbox mode and knowing what I know now. There would be a reset button and an immediate termination to non-existence button. To start off with there would be dinosaurs and hoverbikes.

What kind of ghost? Like this?
Seriously, though. I personally do believe in something. If you don't you'll have to make the journey and discovery yourself. Wherever I go from here at least I believe it isn't going to be a black void. I see it as going from 2D to 4D, having 100% of 'ME' and not just the 1% that is allowed us here. Sounds good to me.

I personally believe there is nothing afterwards and am quite glad about that, I rather go back to nothingness then have to go through the same experience again and again and again forever. What I fear the most is reincarnation... or having to be judged by a god and their stupid angels. My mom had died and had near death experience, white tunnel, family telling her she had to go back, all white. I guess it may be based upon one's beliefs or desires. If I couldn't go back to being nothing, then I would rather be sent to the void, I would create my own world according to my design and live in it with my powers and memories intact.

I'm sorry to say this but I am absolutely convinced that reincarnation is real. Just do some research on factually verified past lives. Especially look into Dr. Ian Stevenson's and Jim Tucker's work on this. Factually verified in- between life experiences are interesting as well (e.g. people who watched their own funerals and people from the past life verified everything that was heard and seen that happened). Finally, there have been factually verified near death experiences where the person was brain dead yet heard and saw everything that happened when they were dead.

I'd still rather have nothingness, but short of that, this would be my second best.
Here's hoping ctb unlocks the level editor, I guess...

I don't get how 'nothingness' can possibly mean anything. It's not something you can ever imagine. Science is far from my strong point, but isn't it a bit like the physics thing where matter can't be destroyed, just transformed into something else?

That refers to physical matter. Your soul is not physical. Not that I think your soul dies or anything I just don't think that law of physics is a good explanation

I believe that we take our karma through always. It can't just disappear until balanced out. Karma from this life isn't by default carried into the next life, though. It comes up when the time and conditions for it to play out are right.

And you won't 'learn all the lessons we have to learn' in just your next life. Karma is not restricted to our linear concept of time.

Just my opinion..

I like this tbh. I'd only tinkered with the concept before but someone on this site mentioned something the other day that got me thinking so I started reading more into it online. If you have any recommendations website or book wise please share, I'd be very interested :-)

I believe the Soul moves on perhaps into another dimension or merges with the Universe.
Only death answers that question.
