Discussion After death

i would love to hear what people think about what happens after death, of course only if you feel comfortable sharing.

I agree with the above posters, but with the strong caveat that I think it's quite likely that the universe is cyclical and "we" will all exist again one day. Would those other "wes" be us if this were so? I think it is impossible to say.

I believe that there is nothing after this, we no longer exist. When we lose consciousness that is it for us. I believe it to be like how before we were born, time passed and yet we were not aware of anything. Death is freedom from all suffering and it is true peace.

No brain activity, means no memory, no awareness; no consciousness of anything, including the passage of time.

I don't believe our consciousness ceases to exist. I believe it is transferred into another realm. Energy cannot be created or destroyed it merely changes forms. It was here since the beginning of the universe and will be for however long. I believe it's the same with consciousness, it will get transferred into another lifeform after it has done its time in the afterlife. That form might be plant, animal, or human depending on karma. And after that again, and again and so on.
