  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I have never been a believer, i'm just not a spiritual person but sometimes I really wished I was. I believe it could help me to accept some aspects of life, or to find comfort in other decisions (CTB) . Seems good to me to believe that there's someone out there looking out for me, that all this pain has some sort of purpose, that I will meet people that I love and died again when I die. But I don't believe in any of this... when I think about what will happen once I die, I believe nothing will happen, sure pain will be gone but so is everything else, I just completely cease to exist and I wish I could see this in any other way that would bring me more comfort, that would make me feel less alone.
I was wondering what do you all think happens when you die. Do you find comfort in any belief? If not, are you okay with the idea of just ceasing to exist in any form? If you do believe in something, have you always had that belief? do you think you can grow out of skepticism and find comfort in some belief?

The unknown is unknowable. I just look at it as a mystery.

I imagine few believers in an "afterlife" ever ponder the possibility that if it exists, it could be worse, perhaps much worse, than the hard time we are dealing with now. Personally, I'm hoping it's lights out forever when I die. And I believe that's by far the most likely possibility.

I guess that if grief is a major factor in many religions, nobody will be 100 percent sure if theres an afterlife. I want to believe that nothing awaits me on the other side. *Tips fedora*

I've noticed almost everyone who believes in an afterlife thinks they will go to a "better place" when they die. No one says "I've been a real shit all my life and will get my ass kicked big time when I get there". Kind of like the Jesus people who think they will be forgiven no matter how rotten they are.

Just wanting some peace

I believe that there is nothing after this, and that is what I find comfort in. Once I am dead nothing can hurt me and all the suffering will end. I do not want there to be anything after this life, I just want to be nothing. I see death as being true peace. Life is just a pointless experience that we go through for the sake of it, there is no purpose to our pain, life is just meaningless suffering. Of course we are only here in the first place because people decided to selfishly procreate.

i'm also not a spiritual person and believe that once i die there will be nothing and i'll just be gone. but to be honest that thought kind of comforts me. no more worries or pain. though sometimes i do have moments where i kind of wish i believed in something.
