I think I might have mild acid reflux. No vomiting or burning, just a feeling of acid going up my throat sometimes. Would this interfere with SN?

I'm curious as well since I have occasional acid reflux. I've been researching but can't find anything. I'm a bit less concerned because neither the PPEH nor Stan's Guide reference it. Since they're the definitive resources I assume they'd discuss it were it an issue. I'll be taking Tagamet and Meto, as well as Prilosec which I take when AR flares.

It occurs multiple times a day, I just noticed it while bending over and I often notice it while trying to burp. There's no taste or discomfort or any other symptoms, I just feel like something is going up my throat and I'm assuming it's acid reflux.
Have you looked into online resources for lifestyle and dietary changes to help reduce it? I can't imagine that's pleasant feeling.
There's really no discomfort or anything whatsoever, just the feeling of something moving up. Maybe it's something else? Hard to look it up if I don't know what it is.
Using descriptive terms of symptoms should bring something up, then you just follow the bread trail till you find what matches the closet. You could also talk to a doctor just so you know what you're working with.
I did actually do a barium swallow and they didn't find anything. I don't think there's any other symptoms, it's just like regurgitation.
It seems that it never makes it past my throat. I wouldn't at all say it's something that significantly affects my life, I'm just worried that it makes me more likely to puke from SN. I don't know if I'm being paranoid or careful.
I wouldn't worry if you don't have digestive or vomiting issue normally. I'm speaking out of assumption since there's really only one way to know.

I don't think so? I don't really feel like I have trigger foods, my stomach makes noises often whether I'm eating or not. And my stools indicate mild constipation.
Hmm, I feel like there has to be some kind of stomach issues with how long I've had it. They don't normally bother me, I just don't want them interfering. Someone else on here said that it might be very mild IBS.

Agreed...and with the fasting you should be ok. Maybe even fast for longer than 8 hours depending on your metabolism speed.
No food in stomach —> No gastric juices —> No acid reflux
Yeah, I just felt vomit in my throat while trying to burp. I don't know, hopefully follwing the regimen with the meto and antacid will be enough. So much anxiety over this, pretty much every single one of my posts is a question about SN. I just wanna be done.
I also have this problem but it doesn't happen if I don't eat or drink anything (other than tap/filtered water which doesn't cause it to happen) so as long as you do the fasting first it should be ok.
I gag when I stick my finger down my throat, but no vomit comes out. Does that mean I'm less likely to vomit SN?
No, sorry, it doesn't make you less likely to vomit SN.

SN is a highly toxic substance that our bodies don't recognize. When we ingest a harmful substance our survival mode kicks in and the body wants to get rid of it, typically by vomiting. While it's a major hassle and frustration when CTBing, this defense mechanism is a great evolutionary development.
