The Queen of Meme has gone.
It was my honour to be her friend. She was a tough and stubborn character with a quick wit and dry sense of humour. Her sarcasm and memes were legendary on this site and frequently brought a smile to many of us even in our dark times. She fought her demons for 20 years, caught in a system that couldn't help, guided by her own resilience and attitude. But time wears everyone down and she couldn't face the fight anymore, something I know many long time sufferers here can relate to.
I first encountered BPD_LE as we posted on the same threads. Swapping memes with Stan and making me laugh through my own pain. I remember she posted a thread musing over what it would be like having a town full of SS people and how we'd start a business together grooming dogs (she was a dog lover like myself). I will also always remember when I recounted my meeting with Mr Blobby, to which she replied that she'd once pole danced for the Honey Monster! Pictures, said Stan, or it didn't happen!
When I was doing really badly BPD_LE reached out to me and supported me. We quickly became friends and I don't think a day has gone by when we haven't talked. I learned to trust her and rely on her humour and compassion. I think most of us could see the kind and thoughtful individual at her core. Even before she left she was thinking of others. I'm glad I persuaded her to swap back to her old flag waving avatar. I thought that is how people would wish to remember her.
She supported so many people here through their bad times and was a constant source of amusement in Off Topic. We suffer a great loss. I dearly hope that her suffering is over and my friend is at peace. She knew in the end that she was well loved.
Goodbye dear friend, I will always remember you.
