Latveria is a fictional country appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is depicted within the storylines of Marvel's comic titles as a small, isolated European country ruled by the fictional Supreme Lord Doctor Doom, supposedly located in the Banat region.

Mega City - Virtual metropolis depicted in The Matrix series. It was created by the Machines to be a fictional living place for the minds of humankind while their bodies were being used as "batteries" in the Machine power plant.

Titan was plagued by overpopulation, which caused a drain on its resources and sent the Titan race hurtling towards a societal cataclysm. Thanos, son of a royal family, proposed randomly killing half the planet's population as a way to preserve their finite resources, but his plan was rejected as too extreme, and he was cast out as a madman. The predicted catastrophe then hit Titan, causing the mass extinction of most of the planet's lifeforms, with Thanos being one of the few remaining survivors.
