A still beating heart

Heyy here's a fun little poem I wrote. I didn't spend too long on it so it's not my best work, but I like it. It's called "A still beating heart"

Did you know there's a tree that bleeds?
A beautiful red sap.
Of course, it's not alive.
But it still bleeds.

Did you know I bleed?
A beautiful red colour.
I shouldn't have been able to see it.
But I still bleed.

My friends are beautiful.
They help me see the world.
But talking to them is scary.
I don't want them to discard me.

My thoughts are beautiful,
Like a butterfly in spring.
But sometimes they are scary,
Like the way your eyes sting.

My music is beautiful,
Like the love I felt that night.
But it can also be sad,
Like me looking down from this height.

I've always been afraid of being high up,
But I'm still not there.
You look down on me.
Your dark, piercing stare.

My organs are beautiful.
My brain, a complex masterpiece.
But above all, one stands strong.
My still beating heart.
