The woman, who was in Rimini, decided to take a nap between the tracks after drinking some alcohol. She had no intention of committing suicide, but the situation became extremely dangerous when she ended up under a moving train. Fortunately, thanks to the quick reflexes of the train driver, who immediately applied the emergency brake, the train was able to stop before causing serious harm. Although several carriages passed over her, the woman only sustained a minor abdominal injury. She was rescued by firefighters and then taken to the hospital in a state of confusion for further examination.

Il treno regionale diretto a Ravenna era da poco partito, quando intorno alle 18.50 il macchinista, all'altezza del ponte di ferro sul porto canale di Rimini ha scorto la sagoma di un ostacolo sui binari e ha azionato, immediatamente, i freni del convoglio. (ANSA)
