  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I recently posted about a major regret of mine, ie having given birth. It's considered to be kind of fucked up to regret your child's existence, even if they are a product of rape or psychosis. Suicide is a huge taboo. Admitting you have had abortions a big no no in most social settings. God forbid you should not regret them, if you did! They are only acceptable if you grieve like you lost your actual child! A lot of thoughts that occur to me in the course of any day are just considered 'wrong'. Like you're being some kind of brave activist by even admitting to them openly. Fuck that I won't be silenced, I don't consider it wrong. Yes I should be mindful of my son's feelings, agreed, but does that imply I have to go through life lying to myself or others, suffering in silence? It is what it fucking is, obviously since I heartily regret being born it's hard to celebrate having essentially passed the suffering to another generation.

This has turned into another vent. If you are aware of any other true taboos please share.

I can absolutely relate.
As an advocate for dying with dignity these taboos that society has put up are very challenging to break and tear down.
That's what activists do, essentially. Question the status quo and by openly talking about "the other side of the medal" move towards change.

It's exhausting. It's frustrating.
But it's worth the fight.
