  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Life sucks

The average life expectancy is about 70~75 years. With the assumption that there are no problems and the person is living a normal life, most of the living time is actually filler.

The first years of life aren't included:
This means the first 3~4 years are omitted.
70 - 3 = 67 years

Sleeping time is about 8 hours per day. Adding things like eating and toilet and some commuting makes it 12 hours. 12 hours is half a day. 67/2 = 33.5 years

Things like school and work takes a lot of time, let's assume the average is 6 hours per day.
6 hours is 1/4 a day.
67/4 = 16.75 years

The total is 33.5 - 16.75 = 16.75 years

16.75 years only and that's not counting other situations and problems like age how 50% of them is actually when someone is old, or illnesses and diseases, more commuting, more bureaucracy and wasted time staying in lines, etc

Time is the most important variable and by showing how a lot of time is actually wasted and how life becomes less about personal experience and more about repetitive processes, life is clearly faulty even if someone says its enjoyable and there are a lot lot things to do.

I had the same argument a few years ago. If life is all about the repetitive bullshit everyone needs to do like some programmed robot then count me out. This is not living. The same mundane things over and over just to survive and do it over again until you're too weak or old to do anything? Not appealing at all.

I laughed at this, but yes it's true. I find that my screen time increases when I'm having a serious bout of depression that I can't shake

The way I see it, everything is filler. All we are doing is passing time until we eventually die. That is what life basically is. Life is just a pointless experience that we go through for the sake of it. We are only here in the first place because people decided to selfishly procreate. There is no point to living and nothing really matters. Life in itself is very depressing and repetitive. I have no interest in living. To me even a life with little suffering would be extremely dull and empty. I do not want to experience anything, I just want eternal nothingness.
