A girl from my primary school just recognised me , but I said I was some one else . I want to be forgotten

Today , I went to an Internet cafe in the area across the river from where I live . It is called Waterloo , in London , and I actually grew up in the street near there and also went to a school called St George's Cathedral Primary School in that area almost 30 years ago

A s I went to pay for my use of their computer , there was a girl standing next to the cashier , who I assume is her boy friend . She came up to me , looked at her boy friend , then turned back to me and said " Okay , tell me if I am right .... your first name is M***** and your second name is D***** " . Even though she was right , I quickly thought fast and said " no , my name is Jonathan Spencer " she paused , looked a bit shocked and said " Are you sure ? You look JUST like" M***** D***** " Her boy friend looked at her , laughed and said " I told you , you would be wrong "

She last saw me nearly 30 years ago !! How the FUCK did she remember me ?

The reason I did this is that I want my memory to be erased from every ones minds . Completely erased . I wasn't a popular kid in school , being a shy kid , misunderstood , I want to be forgotton and pretend the whole thing didn't exist . The same thing goes for every thing else too

I was very polite about it all , and said I am sure and know what my name is. I asked her where she knew this other boy from ( even though that is me , but I want to be forgotton ) . She said to me St George's Cathedral Primary School . I told her I have never heard of that school ( I went there for nearly 8 years ) , I then told her I went to Archbishops Sumner's Primary School , then moved to St Francis when I moved house ( I have never set foot in either , one is my friend's old school and the other is a school that was opposite another school of mine )

She seemed convinced it was me , but then accepted that it wasn't . She still looked puzzled

I know this seems silly , but I want to be erased from every ones minds . I want to get out of here and be gone

So she met Jonathan Spencer in her mind now and was mistaken

I wouldn't worry a jot about it. Even if they knew you were who they thought, it will be forgotten in their mind soon enough.
I actually think it's quite funny you did that, especially if they were so convinced it was you. Probably couldn't compute in her mind why you were not who she thought.

I did this once when my high school geometry teacher was buying something at the farm stand where I worked during a college summer; it was awkward because she did NOT believe me.

By the by, my sister ran into a former high-school classmate, whose dad had been sent to prison for murdering his mother. That poor kid, too, tried to escape recognition. But, everyone knew it was him.

Maybe that woman remembered you from 30 years ago because you made an impression on her. It's your prerogative to want to remain anonymous, but if someone recognized me from so long ago, I'd be flattered.

If it was only High School and not too far back , then that wouldn't be a surprise that she didn't believe you . The same goes for the other guy who's father was in jail

I went swimming yester day and all of a sudden a thought came to me and I thought , what if I had of actually changed my identity around my early twenties and used thay name ' Jonathan Spencer ' where ever I went , actually going as far as legally changing my name even .... but if that isn't possible , just using Jonathan Spencer at all places I go to and becoming that persona
