  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Both my father and paternal grandfather caught the bus. It seems to run in my family. I don't know if it's becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy, but either way here I am.

The women in my family have suffered too much. They've lost their brother, father, uncle, son... I don't want to add to their grief, but hanging on for the sake of others is getting a bit tiring. I feel like I'm approaching a fork in the road.

I wondered, does anyone else have a similar family history? I'm sure I've read that suicide in the family begets suicide. Chances are high my experiences aren't exactly unique here. Anyone else have a family pass for the bus?

I got 1 close family member that I know of that CTB some few years ago. Also have 1 that I'm aware of right now that's attempting it as well other than myself.

My maternal grandmother ctb by gunshot at the age of 70, when I was 14 years old. I wasn't particularly close to her, but she was the only grandparent of mine that I ever met. I didn't find out she had ctb till I was 19 and I was in the psych ward for severe suicidal ideation and transient hallucinations and paranoia. As you might guess, discovering my grandmother had ctb was a shock. My mother didn't give details to me while I was hospitalized, and almost 40 years later, I still don't know much more than I did then.

Mental illness (including suicides and attempts) definitely run in families. At least mine. I got my anxiety/depression from my mother who in turn got it from her father. There are also some suicides and attempts on my maternal side. A few alcoholics on my father's side, although he was not one.

Yes, my grandfather gassed himself. When i met the widow, i was not surprised he did. My father attempted a run under a passing lorry but he was unscathed and was escorted back to his awful care home. My mother was a depressive. I almost jumped from.a multistory car park as a child due to dysfunctional family but i didn't. I escaped and had a fairly good 20 Year's of connectivity with others, AND running a business. Unfortunately im dying now at 36, i may seek assistance in dying before its too late. The central theme that connects to ctb in my family is the lack of warmth and love, a disconnect feelings and narcissistic control and fear. Despite my terror i met someone and shared several wonderful years together before it ended. Glad i was abke to break the cycle of doom before i die. I wish you peace.❤❤

Yeah, grandmother tried to gas herself and my mother tried to throw herself from a high story building and burned herself. It runs in the family alright.
